Nice hotel but facilities are a bit tired.

Room was on the fifth floor. Views were good, but beware if you have mobility problems as they have no lift. The room was clean overall, the bathroom floor and air vent were quite dirty however, and there was a strong smell of drains in the bathroom. The facilities were quite tired and worn out overall. The bathroom had a loose toilet seat, and the hot water flow was poor. The shower in the morning meant either a dribbling warm shower, or a cold shower with a decent flow. Continental breakfast in the morning was good, and the staff were friendly, polite and helpful.

Pros: Close proximity to central Brighton and the Brighton centre.
Cons: Investigate the damp smell in room 18.
Location: Secure car parking in the underground Regency car park, for our 3 day/2 night stay it cost me £40.00. Good pub nearby called the Regency Tavern.
My family booked twin bedded rooms 17 & 18, overall the rooms were clean. The only problem we found was with room 18, as my son and his mate said it always seemed to have a damp smell to it. To air the room he opened the window, which closed again as it would not stay open. So my son had to prop it open with the bin overnight, to try to sleep. Overall we found the hotel pleasant and clean with the staff friendly.

Hotel was close to the Seafront, the shopping centre and night life but in need of a lick of paint. The En Suite was great, very clean and modern.

We stayed just one night but the place is really cosy. The room was not really big but there was all that you need,it was perfectly clean and really comfortable. Lovely sea view from the window.the breakfast was good,not excellent but good . we'd stay there again.

Pros: I did like the decorating of this hotel, the bathroom has been redone recently and was very clean.
Cons: The noisy plumbing, especially during showers I don't think it's necessary to be attached to the same device as the toilet.
Location: The location on the square leads directly to the old pier remains, very interesting view, there are shops very close by.
The hotel room we were in, a standard double, only just about fit the bed, a chair and a dressing table. Personally I would have left the table out, installed shelves for the kettle and teas and made it slightly more roomy. There was a sea view and a balcony both of which were nice. The curtains were stained and several bulbs were out, the DVD player did not work and the plumbing was incredibly noisy. The hotel was only a short walk to the beach, parking and the shops near the centre but a good 15/20 minutes to the pier and other tourist attractions. The breakfast was plentiful in what was offered, which was to be expected and the staff were all very friendly and helpful but not overly conversational.

Nice hotel With a lousy shower

Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel except for the shower, which at times wasn't working at all and when it did, only had boiling hot or freezing cold water. Other than that, we had a very pleasant couple of days, the room had a lot of space, the staff were lovely and helpful and the breakfast was nice too.

The location, the surroundings and the breakfast were very good. The host was very cooperative. The negative points: the carpet was dirty and not vacuumed, there were hairs in the shower.

It was terrible, and not worth the price I paid. I would only stay here if it is a late arrival and early checkout. The rooms are small and the showers don't drain well and the sink in the bathroom is smaller than a bowling ball. There is no lift, so don't bring much luggage. The rooms are clean, and the hotel is close to the beach and easy to get to from the train station. There is a "continental" breakfast that is toast, cereal and tea/coffee. I would not stay here again.

We enjoyed one night at The Queensbury. Right next to the main attractions. Rooms are a bit dated but clean, decent continental breakfast. Would recommend ;)

Great location but very, very basic hotel

My single room was clean but it was very small and I was unaware that it only had a communal, unclean bathroom (no shower) for bathing which was 2 floors down. It cost £150 for 2 nights which is very poor value. The quilt was old and dirty. The staff were nice and the breakfast was ok.
