“Very nice hotel in good Sydney location - great service”

This was a very pleasant hotel to stay in for a number of reasons. First the rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Second the location of the hotel is very good, in the Paddington neighborhood -- the hotel itself is in a fairly quiet neighborhood that has bookstores, restaurants, and several theatres very near by. The shops, clubs, and restaurants of Oxford Street are close by. There are buses to take you to the central city and the business district is about a 20-30 minute walk, most of which can be taken through parkland. The hotel had a good small restaurant that served a good buffet breakfast for $13 (AUD) to which one could add hot offerings for only $5 more. The restaurant had a good collection of US news magazines, so it was very easy to catch up on the world over a leisurely and filling berakfast. What makes the hotel very good is a high level of service. Desk staff were always avialble to provide a lot of information about the city, it sights, and recommendations on how to best get around, along with suggestions on where to eat. There is a free internet setup in the hotel lobby, so it was very easy to do some research and then ask desk staff questions. For the price, a very good value

“Above and beyond”

Upon arrival we were greeted by 4 staff members who treated us like old friends. We were always greeted by our names not our room number. We stayed 8 days Our room was thoroughly cleaned and linen changed daily.I could go on and on but in a nutshell,I have traveled the world and have never had a more pleasant stay. In the future this is my home in Sydney.

“Great!”

The staff went out of their way to provide me with a guide of local art galleries (the regular maps were not available) that they printed off the internet, as well as directions to a pub a local recommended to me (Lord Duddley's in Paddington).

“The best hotel in the world”

Ok let me be as real as possible. The Sullivan hotel is a FANTASTIC hotel. The hotel staff was like family to me. They were not only helpful, but was truly interested in my and the time i was having. They answwered all my question and went above and beyond the call of duty. They really made my stay that much better. My room was warm and cozy that was clean daily by the sweetest housekeeper i have ever met. When i put up the do not disturb sign, she would leave clean towels outside my door. I could not have had the hotel be located in a better area. There were many different restaurants to choice from like Greek, Italian and Indian not to mention good ole Burger King called Happy Jacks. There are 3 Art Houses Theates, Bookstores, shoe and clotheing stores. I picked up a nice braclet at a family jewerly store. Yes the area is known for its Gay Clubs which attracted a good portion of the straight world also. We all party together and had the greatest time. If you are looking for a nice friendly hotel then you will not go wrong with The Sullivans Hotels.

“Can't wait to go back”

The hotel was great. The customer service was superb. Not only was I able to recieve any information from the staff but there were great attributes to staying as well. The hotel had a stroller for use and free bike rentals, not to mention a free crib for infants. There is also a shuttle to the airport for a minimal fee. The cleaning staff was excellent as well. The room was always sparkling clean after they left. They also have information about babysitters if you are visiting Sydney with your children. They were the best. I really hope that I get a chance to go back again.

“Very Good Location - Friendly, Helpful Staff”

It was very easy and fast to get to from the airport, taking the train and walking from Museum. We enjoyed our stay, the room was comfortable, and the staff very helpful. We borrowed the complimentary bikes for a full day and biked around Sydney. There are many shops, cafes, and restaurants near by, and the bus stop is very close too. We would certainly stay at Sullivans again.
