Lovely sea view from a great room

Posted Mar 15, 2015
We picked the top tier of available rooms and had a fantastic sea view, a massive room with space for a sofa and arm chair, a walk-in wardrobe and spacious modern bathroom. The hotel also enjoys some old school charm with big lounges overlooking the lawns on the sea front, perfect for relaxing after a day out and about. The buffet breakfasts were generous if not the highest quality products, and the bar selection and service were great. We would definitely return.

Nice hotel with lovely views

Posted Feb 1, 2015
Pros: The staff, the views and good breakfast
Cons: Needs updating/refurbishment
Location: Right on the seafront opposite Western Lawns. Superb views and lovely walks along the promenades. Short walk to town centre with excellent shopping.
This hotel is in an excellent position on the seafront with lovely sea views. The staff are lovely. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice of hot and cold food. The only downside is, it could do with updating.

Weekend Break

Posted Dec 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
We needed a break from the stresses of day to day life. And chose the Landsdowne at Eastbourne. It was everything we needed. The view from our room was outstanding. Will be telling our friend that this is the place to go for a relaxing weekend.

Shame about the breakfast

Posted Nov 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very poor breakfast. Tables were not cleared, no-one to show friends to a table. There were no plates available, there were no eggs, nor baked beans. Waiting staff were extremely rude. Thankfully the room was fine.
