Excellent value for one of the world's most remotePosted Nov 30, 2013
Met right outside of the airport by the owner of the hotel who drove me to the hotel and checked me in. He then gave me the run down on what to do on the island. I rented a vehicle from him (he matched the best rate I negotiated elsewhere). Breakfast was limited but all that I needed. I am pretty easy - as long as the room is clean, the safe works, the staff is helpful, then I am happy. So I was happy.

PLEASINGPosted Nov 17, 2013
Pros: The peace of the place and the views
Location: Set back on a slight incline. The main town is a short(no hassle) walk to. There are cafes bars and supermarket shops along main street
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel Victoria. I put pleasing rather than excellent because that sums up this hotel. It is set just off Main street, There are plenty of shops around. The owner will collect you at the airport and book tours if needed. My room was very comfortable with beautiful views of the pacific. I loved laying in bed and looking at the pacific. Breakfast was rolls ham and cheese , cake juice and coffee and tea . It sets you up nice before eating the massive empanadas downtown. If you come to Easter island to just sit around a hotel , then this is not the hotel for you. If you want a comfortable room great views and peace then this is the place

Hotel close to EVERYTHING!!!Posted Nov 11, 2013
Pros: Hugo. Hugo made our trip one step further amazing! We had the opportunity to speak to him about Moai statues and its brief history, etc.
Location: Perfect location for markets and stores and restaurants. Also bike/car rentals, pharmacy and banks near by and close to the coast line and beach.
Easter Island is a gem. If you're into ancient civilization and its history, etc., there is no place like it. We had the opportunity to visit this island and it was phenomenal. Hugo greeted us at the airport with flower necklace (leis) and gave us a briefing about the island suggesting where to go/see, restaurants, etc etc. He also provided a mini fridge as well as outlet converter/plug. I can't express enough how much I appreicate this island and Hugo!

Great Hotel!Posted Aug 9, 2013
Hotel staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful and felt like staying with old friends. Local attractions were pointed out and they even helped us to rent a car. If we go back to Hanga Roa we will stay here again.Anyone going to Easter Island has to realize that it is tropical and 1000 miles from anywhere else and so there will be a slightly run down feel to every place, as is completely normal in Hawaii or any other Polynesian island. We loved it.
