“Not a good experience, bad service, cold water, don't recommend staying here”
We checked in the late afternoon and the hotel operator acted like it was the biggest inconvenience ever. He said but two words and when we asked questions he shot us dirty looks. There was no explanation as to how to open/close the parking gate, no explanation of how to check out or the use of the facilities and no guide in the rooms or phones. There was no offer to take our luggage, in fact, we had to make four trips to the car. The bed was two twins pushed together so you had the most uncomfortable seam to sleep on, not to mention the mattress was rock hard. The bed had no loose sheet and no pillow cases on it. In the morning around 6:30 am we went to shower and not a bit of warm water. The shower water was coming out ice cold. We had to use the tea kettle to boil water and take turns pouring it over each other. The ocean is quite a distance from the hotel and the seas rough, so you will not be doing any swimming. There is an old pool that is not heated on the property. The hotel is quite a distance from Port Elizabeth (20 min at least) and the closest gas station complex is not safe. The place is in residential neighborhood so it is easy to get lost and far from any conveniences. We do not recommend this hote
