Americas Best Value Inn

I had had a bad experience at a Best Value Inn before but because their hotel was listed on Expedia I decided to give the chain a second chance. This Hotel looks nothing like the photos as they must have been taken when the hotel was new. I mean it is unrecognizable and is not the BVI in Cambridge. Lobby had very old soiled furniture. They could not find my reservation. I only stayed because I was unsure if there were any other reasonable priced hotels in Cambridge as I was there for a conference. I also knew for certain that this hotel would charge me as they cannot have any repeat business. Internet service was spotty. The tub had no plug and the bathmat was coming off in pieces while I bathed.No coffee maker -- I mean who does not have in room coffe. No coffee in the lobby as no one was really there. The volume on the tv was broken.

No pool. Looks run down. Many broken things...noisy. Would not go back...the only good thing is that the bed was comfortable and we slept good.

Poor Desk help. Swimming pool was shut down. Not worth the cost.

They rented to a group of migrant farm workers. had to call office at 4am to get quiet. had stayed there before. never again

needs up keep but was clean no real problem, included microwave and refridge. Aircondition was on room was nice and cool when arrived

The hotel was located in an easily accessible place. The room included air-conditioning, a refrigerator and a microwave. We had a double bed, which was moderately comfortable. The bathtub had no stopper to make a bath available, but the mat in the tub had mold underneath, so I wouldn't have wanted one anyway. The hotel was advertised with a swimming pool, but the pool was out of service. The hotel has two buildings, but the rear building with the most rooms had an ice machine that was out of order. There was ice available in the front building, but the containers had no lid, so the ice melted quickly. For the very reasonable price, it was certainly an adequate hotel.

Not a great neighborhood. Beds not the most comfortable. Very old TV. Pool in pictures is not open-being repaired.

We stayed over the weekend of May 18 - 20, 2012 and America's Best Value was one of the worst places we have ever stayed. The staff was friendly enough but other than that, there is nothing good I can say. Our room was so dirty and we were told that the room had just been painted and the tile was newly done. The cleaning staff told us the room had been empty for a while because they renewed everything. The furniture was old-old and very worn out, the sheets had holes and were obviously not new. The floor was dirty and the toilet looked so bad, we asked the cleaning staff if it was water rust stains or needed to be cleaned. The windows and window sills were filthy and the window was caulked shut. If there had been a fire, we would have had to break the window to get out. If I had seen this room before paying for it, I would not have stayed there. I would also have asked for my money back if I thought it would have happened. We will NEVER stay at another America's Best Value again and would NEVER recommend that anyone stay at one.

Horrible motel, I have booked the Kingbed and he offered me single bed room for two of us. The guys at the front desk asked for etra money for king size bed and told me that in the booking my choice is not mentioned,pathetic. There is no water to drink, absolutely not good for family. Though the location is good but the condition and service are reallly bad. Bed is too bad & dirty bathroom. Don't go for it. You may need to spend more money on a good hotel but this not a place I'd recomend to stay anyone except who compromises comfort.

Let me start by saying I did not expect much... it is an economy hotel. But what did disappoint is the smell of mold and the fact that since the walls are cinder block, the room was very damp. The room was clean, but the bedspread had cigarette burns and was simply old. The floor was bare, thin carpet and the tile floor was slippery... not from being wet, but from the cleaning chemicals that did not come up fully. Honestly, I had to put a towel on the floor to keep from slipping and injuring myself. The shower had good pressure and the water was HOT, but the towels were see thru thin.
