“Very Satisfied,...would use them again!”

I was not expecting very much after reading neg. reviews before I stayed here. ..My room was very nice and clean. I stayed in one of the back rooms away from the pool. Staff was friendly and helpful,..and the room was quiet. Wasn't the Hilton, but I didn't pay a 5-star price!! HAPPY TRAVELER!!

“Pefect location for UW Stout visiting parents”

This hotel isn't the ritz, but it is nice. The rooms are spacious, the pool is large and the staff is accomodating. It does have a feel of being catapulted back into the 80's, but that actually isn't a bad thing. The location is under a mile from UW Stout, so for visiting parents it is convenient.

“Economical”

We were satisfied with our stay. The location was good, the room was clean, but the hotel is very much in need of updating and modernization.

There aren't really many choices in Menomonie but for the price I would choose someplace else in the area before staying at the EconoLodge again. Staff was nice but the facility is really in poor shape and low quality.

“No room in any other inns”

We stayed at this hotel because it was the only one in the area not booked by softball and basketball tournaments. We needed a place to stay to attend a cousin's wedding. The place was falling to pieces. Our room door didn't fit. It had to be lifted up and slammed into place. We had to wait until the room was "perfect" for us to check in. Once in the room, the sinks were not clean (hair). The ironing board promptly fell to pieces. The bathroom door didn't close well. I sat at the computer in the lobby later in the evening to do some work and had to listen to a woman complain to the manager about something that went on and on and on. The place needs a major face lift. The woman at the front desk tried to manage all the disgruntled people waiting to get into their rooms, but the place needs some care. I would not recommend this place unless--like us--you can't find anyplace else.

“not impressed”

will find another hotel...the noise was terrible, people arguing , kids crying, no peace to sleep, the heat would not turn off in the room, it was like a sauna, we finally had to open a window so we could breathe...we could feel the floor in our room moving when people in the hallway would walk by

“Less Than Positive Experience”

What started out as a positive experience quickly turned into a not so positive experience. On the positive side motel is easy to find and check-in went smoothly. Than rapidly experience became not so positive. Aside from location we selected facility since among its features it had refrigerator and wireless internet. When we got into room there was no refrigerator in the room. When I check at the desk -- I was told one was available at a $5 extra charge. While small $ amount -- still was a surprise. Plus, wireless signal was very weak and almost useless. Then the next morning when we went down for the continental breakfast there was no milk (this was only about an hour into time slot for breakfast)..
