“Just OK”

We didn't expect too much from this hotel since it was a 3 star in a lesser known city. The good thing is our family room was very spacious (2 adults and 1 child) and clean. We were only 25 minutes by car from the Gelredome and the Burger's Zoo. The breakfast buffet was ok and the dining room was nice and clean. We had a good dinner at a busy Italian restaurant called Brutus in the towns center (10 min. walk from hotel). The towns center which is about 50m away has lots of clothing & shoe stores, an Albert Hein grocery store, McDonalds, cafes and a few restaurants. There is also a train station in the towns center. The negatives were the bathroom is tiny. There are no ammenities such as travel sized lotion, bath gel or shampoo. However, the shower has a bathgel dispenser and the sink has a handsoap dispenser below the medicine cabinet. There is also no fitness center/ room but they do have a billiards table. They give you traditional room keys instead of cards but since they are hanging behind a small reception desk I saw people dropping off and taking keys when the receptionist was busy. The balcony is shared with your neighbors so we didn't sleep our balcony door open. BTW, no A/C.

“Restaurant very good, rooms leave a lot to be desired”

The hotel reception was very nice, as was the restaurant. Good decoration and spacious. The food was a very good quality, fresh and inventive. However, the bedrooms and landings etc was reminscent of post war accomodation. Small rooms,poorly decorated. A very noisy lift, noise from other residents, single glazed windows allowing road noise, damp and dusty. The bathroom was barely adequate and the en-suite shower was a joke. I actually fell over twice whilst trying to shower because the shower tray was so small.
