Great hotel for the Edinburgh experiencePosted Jul 24, 2013
Location: Close to the beach at potobello, ideal for access to golf courses and the city.
We had a fantastic stay at the Abercorn, the family who run the hotel could not have been more welcoming and accomodated our every need. The breakfasts were excellent and the service weas of a similar standard. The hotel itself is beutifully decorated and the standard of cleanliness is second to none.

great breakfast, very helpful and friendly ownersPosted Apr 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
We liked this guest house very much and will return if we visit Edinburgh again. The location was excellent for visiting our nearby family and good for getting around (bus stop very close) as the excellent buses (buy an All-Day ticket) took us all over the city. The breakfast was really good and the dining room very pleasant, light and airy and also spotless. We definitely recommend this Guest House.

Accommodation comparable to hotel 5* quality, but with friendly service and a good full breakfast included. Will definitely stay again.

Good valuePosted Feb 5, 2013
Pros: Friendly welcome.
Cons: Advertised free parking. This is misleading as it is on road parking.
The Abercorn is a great choice for those on a budget looking for a friendly welcome and a room with character.

Location: Graet; 15 mins into the city on the bus, quiet, near the sea
Angela was a wonderful hostess; nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome. We couldn't have had a better stay and would recommend this guesthouse to anyone. Great location, beautiful house, lovely breakfast and great hospitality.

Abercorn B&BPosted Feb 15, 2012 on Hotels.com
Warm welcome and continued interest in our comfort from the owner. Helpful information about buses to and from city centre both before and after our arrival. Bus service wonderful. Decor of B&B and dining room and place settings first class. Breakfast beautifully presented and delicious. Handy for local restaurants. Beautiful beach at Portobello and a great place to stay for easy access to Edinburgh city centre.
