Beautiful Villa situated a ten minute bus ride south of city centre, offering luxury bed and breakfast accommodation. Alba House offers old world charm and service with all the convenience of a modern hotel.
Our nine bedrooms are all ensuite. In character with the building, each room is individually styled to make best use of its original features.

“Wonderful Edinburgh B&B”
We can't recommend this B&B too highly. Lovely rooms and charming and attentive hostess.
“A business traveller”
As so many other reviewers have said, Cath was a delightful hostess, providing me with advice on the bus system, what to see in Edinburgh and even suggestions about gifts to take back home for my family. I arrived at 9:00 a.m. after an overnight flight, expecting just to drop my bag, but she was able to give me my room early, so I could change clothes, and insisted that I take some breakfast (on the house) before heading off to my meeting.
“Great weekend break”
I stayed for 2 nights from 4 May 2012 with my parents; rooms were huge; we had ones facing the street. There was a little noise from traffic but what do you expect when staying in a big city! Everything was very clean and comfortable with good breakfast offered. Cathy, our hostess was welcoming and very informative. Another plus, the guesthouse was on a major bus route so no probs getting in and out of the town if you wanted to have a drink etc. Only one very small moan that the super power shower in room 7 didn't live up to expectations (not enough water pressure to power all bits of it) but was adequate if using just one of the options. All in all very good stay with welcoming atmosphere and a super hostess. Thank you would go again.
