Fantastic Hotel in a Fantastic Location

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Great Value, Superb Quality Rooms. The staff here are very friendly, whilst I have been to Edinburgh on many occasions this is by far the best hotel experience I have had. The reception desk staff were very helpful and have excellent knowledge of all things Edinburgh!

Noisy and hot

Cons: A decent mattress. Air conditioning for the top floor rooms.
Fun bar and decent pub food but rooms are basic, very hot and noisy.

Excellent central location hotel

We had an all too short stay here. Rooms spotless, staff courteous, food (especially breakfast!) wonderful. Centrally located with all our favourite places within easy walking distance. First class!

Watch out for the breakfast cost

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Proper breakfast with a single charge which includes sufficient coffee to start the day
Location: Everything is nearby - including several better places for breaklfast
Hotel in great location. Lovely staff and rooms. Sadly though for me and my wife a 4 foot 6 inch double bed is not big enough. We are quite skinny people but have grown used to not colliding in the middle of the night. There's loads of room for a proper double, or twins, and looking at the overall standard of this hotel I'm surprised that they cut corners in this way. Breakfast. Wow? This cost me over £30. This is not for an all you can eat brekky, but one where they take your order and charge for each thing. Two part filled cups of coffer. Over £2 each. No juice or suchlike. I guess its there, but at a further cost. Everything was delicious, but I was left feeling gouged. The cooked breakfast arrived, with toast on the side, and butter, but no jame. I asked for marmalade and was told they had run out!!! Jam was offered as a substitute. I said yes and was brought one little pot of jam, no choice just a measly little pot. It's a shame this, as the hotel is great, the staff are friendly, but they let themselves down with the simple stuff.

Modern hotel in a very central location

Posted Apr 22, 2014
Pros: The staff and location
Cons: the temperature in the room
This is definitely a surprise to us, the room is spacious, very clean, new and modern. The guy at the reception was extremely friendly and helpful, he had recommended a few places to visit and shopping, he had made my experience with this hotel so amazing! The only thing I could think of for the hotel to improve is allowing temperature control in the room, as the heating was on while I was staying there and I don't usually go to bed with heating, so would be great if I could adjust the temperature to my liking.

Ideal hotel for a weekend away.

Posted Mar 17, 2014
I stayed at this hotel on a girls weekend away (to be honest a lot of the guests seemed to be on girls weekends away!). It is ideally located for shopping on Princes St and the bars and restaurants on George St.

Amazing Edinburgh hotel w/incredible staff & decor

Posted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: The hotel decor was top shelf, the staff were amazingly kind, and the location was perfectly situated in the city.
Location: Royal Mile, Princes Street, Georges Street, Scott Memorial, tons of bars, restaurants, and shopping.
I arrived at the Angels Share Hotel on Wednesday, Feb 26, 2014, and didn't want to ever check out! I traveled alone and could not have asked for better service from the whole team at the hotel. For one, the hotel is stunning (see attached photos) located in a prime spot in central Edinburgh. But most importantly the staff made you feel like family. There was a very personal touch that came along with the service, one that made this one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had (and that's in a very long history of international travel). The reception staff were helpful planning my impromptu visit to Edinburgh and the restaurant staff were equally helpful recommending nightlife options. The hotel itself happens to have one of the liveliest and most beautifully decorated bars in the city.

Will definitely be back.

I booked Angels Share Hotel for my partners Birthday as he loves Edinburgh, it was only a 15 min walk from Waverley Station, it was a really nice hotel, we also had dinner and breakfast which was really nice, not too expensive either, the same price as pubs outside, the staff was really nice friendly and helpful, the rooms were really nice, spotless clean, first class, we had a room at the back of the hotel and on the 4th floor which was quiet, we will definitely go back.
