“Great place, great location”

We had a great stay at this hotel. It was very comfortable, clean and was positioned perfect for sightseeing in Edinburgh. It would have been great to have a small fridge in the hotel room.

Queen sized beds, spacious rooms, hot showers, great view of Edinburgh Castle, overall a wonderful place to stay, close to the Royal Mile the Edinburgh Bus Tour stops in front of the hotel.

The location was perfect. Lots of little restaurants and pubs across the road and the castle within 5 minutes walk.

We weren't at all sure of what area to stay in as it was our first visit to Edinburgh, but the grassmarket area was lovely and we are so glad of all the places in Edinburgh we stayed there! The hotel is lovely and the staff are really friendly. Rooms were large and very comfortable and cleaned well daily. The bar, although a little expensive (as you'd expect really), was really comfortable and we were treated well as guests even though we weren't part of a business party. Overall, a really great hotel in a really great area! 10 out of 10!!!

“Perfect hotel spot in Edinburgh”

Located in the Grassmarket area of Old Town Edinburgh, the Castle towers above grassmarket square. It's only a short walk to The Royal Mile. The two city tour buses have stops directly in front of the hotel. Great location, courteous staff, I will definately stay there again.

“Lovely surprise”

We booked a twin room and were delighted to find 2 king-size beds. The hotel is in a great location for all the main attractions and for the fringe. There's free internet access (limited) and great facilities. Only donwside was that breakfast wasn't included, but the pub across the road did a great fry-up.

“Downtown Edinburgh”

The Apex International is located in the middle of Festival activities making getting around without a car very convenient. It is near the Waverly train station for easy arrival and departure. The staff were not only polite but very helpful and friendly.

A real pleasure to stay at this Hotel, have also stayed in the sister hotel in London. Recommend this Hotel chain, especially for the free duck : )

“Great central location and good service”

The hotel is within walking distance of all central Edinburgh. Covenient to airport and located on a street with many pubs and restaurants. Rooms were well maintained; we were there during hot weather (rare) so interiors were rather warm, but the convenience of location more than compensated.
