Very good location for town centrePosted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: No mobile phone signal in rooms -
Location: Close to shopping centre and rail station and historic area a short walk away (10 minutes)
During a very busy festival season the staff were very helpful and friendly. Sadly our room had air vents and a brick wall immediately outside the window so no fresh air available and no telephone signal. If you need your mobile phone check out rooms on higher floors than 2!

Wonderfully comfortable!Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: The sofa bed was used as an additional bed for our 15 year old but the room was still very spacious. Loved the Elemis toiletries and plenty provided!
Location: Great Location
Stayed here during the fringe festival - a wonderfully comfortable bed to head back to after a day of walking & shows! Slightly tucked away from the hustle and bustle but nevertheless very well located 10 min walk from the main hub. Fabulous breakfast buffet and a la carte - delicious Scottish full breakfast!

Great LocationPosted Aug 6, 2014
I stayed at this hotel for a week in a city double room. The view was great. The room was a good size with free WiFi. The room was clean& well presented. Staff were friendly & helpful. Check-in & Check-out quick. Breakfast had good selection & replenished frequently. Orders for hot food was taken after being seated & came quickly. Even when restaurant full or occupants from tour bus swelled capacity staff remained cool & very professional cleaning tables as quickly as possible. Don't leave breakfast to the last 1/2 hour as you will need to queue. Room service was quick & food hot & well presented. Hotel close to Princes St & short walk to Golden Mile. Will stay there again.

Pleasant and centralPosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Very pleasant and efficient welcome. Dealt with our unexpected arrival without any fuss. We received courteous and considerate service.
Cons: I found the reception area a little soulless and some of the dining room staff were a bit brusque.
Location: Very central although not the nicest part of central Edinburgh.
Arrived at short notice after rejecting another hotel we had booked. Staff were helpful and efficient. Were given the first room available at short notice but transferred to a much better room the following morning without any fuss. The room was comfortable and functional, but not luxurious. Although the hotel is very central (at the east end of Princes St), it is not the nicest part of central Edinburgh.

Good hotel close to the city centre.Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Close to city centre and the room was comfortable.
Cons: Room size.
Location: Right in the centre of Edinburgh city. Sta James shopping centre next door and only a 15 minute walk to the Royal Mile.
The initial room offered was very small however the room was changed once we made the observation regarding the room size. Spa facilities were very good and we took advantage of the facilities twice.

Rather satisfying stay in EdinburghPosted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Proximity to action and yet very quiet.
Cons: Assistance with parking.
We appreciate hotel's closeness to where the actions are, and yet far away from the noise and crowd. Little Italian restaurant around the corner is worth mentioning. Good food, good service, and reasonable price.

Location, Location, Location !Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: The cleanliness was superb. Feather and Down pillows, spa toiletries, robes, and very peaceful and quiet.
Location: Very convenient to the bus, tram, and of course taxis.
This is a hotel with friendly staff. If you need something they will get it. Italian restaurant down the street was delicious. A little market down a couple of stores. Concierge helped plan our outings, suggested best and easiest way to get there. Absolutely wonderful.
