Nice hotel in a great location in the city

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: Great location. Nice decor and comfort. Good restaurant and great staff.
Cons: Heating not great in room. Seemed to be fault with controller.
Location: In the heart of the city. Perfect location.
Helpful check-in. No issues during stay other than unreliable heating controller that I reported on leaving. Very attentive and pleasant staff. Seemless checkout. Overall nice hotel. A listed building with contemporary refit.

Great stay

Posted Jan 4, 2015
Pros: Rooms magnificent. Gym well equipped.
Cons: Waited an hour and a half to check into our room as it wasn't ready. Better quality bar tood
Location: Right in the centre of the town was to walk up shops, bars and eateries.
Pool area is very wet to get to and Arlington it. No loungers to relax on. Sauna and Turkish very small. Good m excellent. Food is very poor quality.

Great Location near Station

Posted Jan 4, 2015
2nd stay at this hotel. Would recommend hotel as location is very nice and close to the key areas of town and station. I would opt for upgrading room as we had std room on this visit and it was very small. Also the view wasn't very desirable. Previous stay was excellent.

Back Door to Waverly Station

Posted Jan 3, 2015
Pros: You walk out the back door of Waverly station and 100 yards on the right side is a door to an elevator taking you up to the hotel lobby on the 5th fl.
Location: Waverly station is sunken below ground level so you don't see it from the street. Very nice hotel two minutes walk from the station itself.
Very Nice Hotel on top of mountain next to Waverly Station

Pros: Central location. Easy to get to from the station . We liked it had a swimming pool which was well maintained. The staff were all nice .
Cons: We were satisfied with everything about the hotel .
Location: Excellent location. Close to most of the sightseeing attractions
Very central location ideal for shopping and theatre . Room was lovely and no noise at all outside or in the corridor. .

One night anniversary stay.

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, friendly staff. Central.
Very pleased with this hotel Chose primarily for the closeness to Edinburgh Waverley. You can access hotel from the train station. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Paid £10 each for breakfast on our check in. Was ok if you like the full English. there is a nice little café Pep and fodder a couple of doors down if you want breakfast outside of hotel. We had a good price with Expedia, not sure would have liked to pay a lot more than we did. Overall this hotel does what it says on the tin. Nice hotel close to all of Edinburgh's attractions.
