A bus ride away from all attractionsPosted Oct 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Enjoyed our stay very much, so much we stayed an extra night. Comfy room, great breakfast and Gill was very welcoming. Save on parking in the city and get a day bus ticket for £3.50 and go where you like. Would definitely stay again if in Edinburgh.

Comfy bedsPosted Sep 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Nice comfy room, all the usual amenities, very clean. The location was a bit further from the centre than we were expecting, but once we were told which bus to get it was very easy getting about.

Noisy roadPosted Aug 9, 2013
Stayed in room 5 on the top floor - bed was a bit old and soft. Private bathroom is across the landing ok but would be better to request one attached to your room. Hotel is next to a busy road and the windows make very little difference to the road noise. Unfortunately the only real down side was the continuous broken sleep.

Only in a pinch.Posted Jul 20, 2013
Pros: It had a bed and a sink in the room.
Cons: A fan provided, improved Wifi, bedside lamp repaired, and something to put suitcases on. Needs to be stated that bath is down the hall.
Location: This is out of the mainstream and there aren't many restaurants close by. There was a bar, I think, across from us. Noisy.
The owner of the Bonnington was very kind, but the room was tiny and hot, and there was no fan to be had. There wasn't a spot to put suitcases, so we were constantly having to step over things. We were on the top floor, and the Wifi didn't work. It would come on and then go off again. The "private" bathroom was actually down the hall, and when I tried to read for a bit before going to sleep, I discovered that the lamp on the bedside table didn't work either! However, there was a complimentary bottle of scotch in the room; I guess you might not notice the discomfort if you partook! Can't tell you about the breakfast since we had to leave at 6:45 & it doesn't open until 8:00. The owner offered to leave milk and cereal for us, but I have dietary restrictions & must have protein for breakfast.
