Sehr ruhige doch auch zentrale Lage.

Posted Mar 25, 2015

Nice apartments, but in need of refurbishment

Posted Feb 19, 2015
Pros: Staff and kitchen area
Cons: Less noise in the apartment
Location: Next to Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament
Comfortable and spacious living space with well equipped kitchen area, but looking a bit worn round the edges. Enjoyed our stay and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The water pumps and extractor fans were particularly noisy and took some time to switch off after use. Don't know if there is anything that the hotel could do to address this?

Excellent Location

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: I liked the location and the apartment was well equipped
Cons: Not that this can be improved but it did feel a bit like student accomodation
Location: Bottom of the royal mile within easy reach of everything in the centre of Edinburgh. Quite steep walk uphill to the castle, but bus available
The hotel was well situated near dynamic earth and Holyrood Palace. We found the hotel easily and it is only just off the Royal Mile. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. It was good for the two days that we were spending in Edinburgh.

Apartahotel en milla real de Edimburgo

Posted Feb 11, 2015

Just off Royal Mile

Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: Location, staff, facilities
Cons: Very little, for the price. Perhaps a stronger luggage trolley, as one does tend to take more luggage to an aparthotel.
Location: "Old" Edinburgh is close, the New Town and shops a 15 min walk away. Don't miss Edinburgh Zoo (31 bus from North Bridge) with koalas and giant pandas!
Our second visit to this aparthotel, providing - for about the cost of a budget hotel - not only a firm king-size bed, bath and shower, but also self-catering facilities and a sitting room. And extremely warm in a chilly January. We tried a studio apartment this time. Although fine, we did wish we'd paid a extra for one of the two-bedroomed apartments - which are significantly larger and better appointed (four sets of cutlery and crockery rather than two, for example). The location is fine, just off Canongate - the lower end of the Royal Mile. About 10 minutes walk to Waverley Station (with long-term car parking facilities if booked in advance) and 15 minutes' walk to Princes Street. Recommended for an extended stay - we were there almost week. Local Tesco supermarket and a Pizza Express 2 minutes away in Holyrood Road.

Sehr schönes Hotel

Posted Jan 31, 2015
Pros: Sehr zentrale Lage aber trotzdem sehr ruhig.
Cons: Der Feuerarlam ist sehr sensibel eingestellt .
Location: Sehr zentrale Lage .

Fab: central Edinburgh - spotless and welcoming

Posted Jan 13, 2015
Pros: Everything spotless - hats off to the cleaning team Quite Great position for exploring the city
Cons: Hard to think of anything for the price ... No view, but then I always remember that episode of 'Faulty Towers'?
Location: Buy a Kilt, buy whiskey, hop around the many bars, visit museums, look away from the ugly Scottish Parliament, wander in Holyrood park ...
Hi, this place is about 10 minutes walk from Waverley (once you manage to get out of the station and find the right road), situated just off the Royal Mile (which has more kilt and whiskey shops than one can shake a stick at). I was visiting for the Edinburgh international cross country to cheer on my daughter; it's held annually in Holyrood park (5 mins walk) so is placed perfectly if you fancy being close to central bars/shops but also may enjoy taking a stroll around the beautiful Arthur's seat and visiting the surprisingly ugly and uninspiring Scottish Parliament building (I do like modern architecture: just not bad modern architecture). Staff are welcoming, although to be honest you don't need them much: my apartment was lovely, spotless, amazingly well equipped, and surprisingly quite. The hotel is tucked away in what I guess would of been a courtyard, off the main road, so it's very quite with very little street noise, although someone fell over in the corridor at 4.15 in the morning and thought this was very funny - still: live and let live, and after a while I started to laugh as it took him 10 minutes to find his room ... Couldn't really fault the position, value and space - excellent will stay again.
