We spent two nights and had a wonderful time. Very efficient, speedy and friendly welcome at reception. We were then taken to our room (thankfully as I would probably still be trying to find it - it is a bit of a rabbit warren but some lovely artwork to look at on the way!) Lovely room, spotless, great storage and some quirky touches. Large balcony with a terrific view to Calton Hill. Had room service a couple of times - lovely food and very speedy. Quiet room. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to sit and have a drink but loved the bar area. Overall the staff could not be friendlier.

We were in Scotland for two weeks. Traveled from Edinburgh to the Ornkeys and to Skye. By the time we were to head home we had been rained on for four days, then traveled by ferry, rail to Glasgow then Edinburgh and needed food and a hot bath. The hotel staff was very helpful and welcoming, the room was roomy and inviting. Couldn't have asked for a better ending to a wonderful vacation.
