A good hotel right in the centre of Edinburgh.Posted Nov 17, 2013
If you are travelling to Edinburgh by train, this hotel is situated conveniently close to Waverley station. It is also on the direct bus route from the airport. Although the front entrance is on the main shopping area of Princes Street, the hotel provides quiet and secure accommodation. The bar, lounge and dining room occupy the same large space with excellent first floor views over the old city and the castle. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, with most of the facilities you would expect from a modern hotel. The beds were somewhat firm, although this may be to some people's preference. The choice at breakfast was comprehensive, and the cooked breakfast was excellent.

Almost perfect hcotelPosted Nov 17, 2013
Pros: Great receptionist on arrival. Good bar staff in the evening
Cons: Safe in each room
Location: Centre of the city. Good transport system to and from the airport. Walking distance to Murrayfield, the castle, plenty of restaurants and pubs
A very nice hotel in a great position in the middle of the city. Clean, comfortable with friendly staff. My only complaint is that the last time we stayed, a room safe was supplied free of charge and there was nothing to suggest that this wasn't standard. As such, when one wasn't provided in the room this time, we were forced to carry our valuables around with us. A small disappointment in an otherwise enjoyable weekend

Bathroom clean but tired. Main room size large with large Kingsize bed. Exceptional location in the heart of Edinburgh. Most staff made us feel welcome, but one or two exceptions. Overall, very good value for money. Would stay there again.

Quick visitPosted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: Location and cleanliness
Cons: For the price everything OK - thicker towels?
Location: Right on Princess Street, accessable from Waverley Street Station. All main sites of Edinburgh easily accessable
We were just having a quick visit to Edinburgh so the Hotel was perfectly placed - on Princess Street. It was clean and sufficient for our needs. Rooms a bit small, towels a bit thin but very clean and suited us. We weren't going for 5 star luxary. Staff very pleasant Would stay again
