Luxury close to airportPosted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Old elegance, large rooms, attention to details.
Cons: Got lost trying to get to/from my room. A map would have helped.
Unfortunately, my travel plans changed after booking and I had very little time to enjoy this beautiful luxury hotel. Everything was exceptional except getting to/from my room. Was like trying to figure out a maze to find the elevators. A map would have helped.

Great hotel if you don't mind taking taxis/drivingPosted Jul 25, 2015
The exterior of the hotel says Scotland. The interior of the section where we stayed was modern with spacious high-ceilinged room, spacious bathroom with heated floor tiles and built-in TV in the tub plus a separate rain shower. The restaurant was very good dinner and breakfast. Servers were just adequate, but that's Northern Europe probably. Hoteli is in the Edinburgh industrial suburbs, close to the airport, but good 25 minutes driving from most points of interest. Taxi cost us 23 BP each way, about $35. So if being walking distance from everything is not a requirement, this is a great place.

Easy access to airport and city centrePosted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: Location and Service
Cons: Coffee slow in the mornings at breakfast...I need coffee in the morning!
Location: AIrport of course and city centre easy by taxi and tram via the airport. Edinburgh is a great city
Been here before and it was enjoyable and thus happily stayed again with some guests. They also do good conference venues. I am a fan.

Book a TablePosted Jul 20, 2015
Cons: Rooms and hallways are looking rather dated and in need of a refreshing.
Maybe I was being naive to think that guests of the hotel would take priority for dinner reservations. Needless to say, I was wrong. Without a 2 hour wait for dinner (and after being told that with all likelihood all of the other restaurants in town were booked as well) we ended up eating a very mediocre meal around a very very short table in a very busy hallway. In addition, we were disappointed to be given a room in the annex instead of the main hotel. That said, the location is absolutely beautiful. I wish it hadn't been raining as it would have been nice to spend some time exploring the grounds.

Close to the airportPosted Jul 20, 2015
We were just looking for a clean room near the airport at a good price. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel. Very clean, great restaurant, courteous staff, near the airport! We would absolutely stay again!

Beautiful place!Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: Once on a tour, and another time for its proximity to the airport.
I really enjoyed staying at the Norton. The rooms are good and the grounds are lovely.

Everything was perfectPosted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Room was really lovely and great touches. Staff couldn't be more helpful.
Location: Near to everything you need in and around Edinburgh.
There was nothing to find the slightest fault with. The staff very helpful, the room was perfect, the food lovely. They had 3 weddings the night we stayed and we didn't hear a sound.

Beautiful hotel, close to airportPosted Jul 12, 2015
Recommended hotel, very clean, good facilities, cooked to order breakfast, downside is due to location you must have your own transport as not easy access to team/train/bus! Would definitely go back with a hire car in place!

Auf allen Ebenen zu empfehlen!Posted Jul 10, 2015
Pros: das Ambiente
Cons: Ggf.
Vielen Dank!

Hotel lovely. Restrant (brasier) not up to the same standard. Mushroom served with steak when told none required. Steak knife to hot to hold and hand burnt. rather uncaring waitress
