“Expensive hotel spa but worth the high rate.”

Pricey and located in proimity to airport but far from city center. Wonderful otherwise. Fixtures are charmingly antiquated but fully functional. Free WiFi works well. Breakfast are complimentary and are to die for.

“Great Edinburgh Airport Hotel”

A great hotel for the price. Very convenient to Edinburgh Airport, yet there was little or no noise. The hotel is set in a pastorale setting that one wouldn't expect from such a convenient location. There are newer rooms and older refurbished rooms. We stayed in both on our two stops there, and were pleased with both experiences. We would commend this to anyone wanting a quiet, well maintained hotel whether you need to be near the airport or not.

“Luxury near Edinburgh airport”

It's on a lot of acreage with nothing else within walking distance. The staff is very helpful.

“Norton House”

We stayed in this hotel for the first two nights of our Scotland visit and the last night. The first room's bed was pretty hard but the rest of the room was great. The last room we stayed in was great all-around and was more spacious than the first room. The restaurant for evening meals and breakfast was fabulous. The food was fantastic. The hotel also has a very nice spa and gym.

“Wonderful place to stay”

We only spent one night here (it is on the more expensive end), but we received a free room upgrade, which was wonderful. The room felt very luxurious, and everyone was very helpful and friendly.

“SUPER!!”

Great location just outside of the city and minutes from the airport. Set in a lovely park with FANTASTIC SPA. The hotel itself though a bit dated has ample charm. 2 restos- the bistro was great - the other a bit pricey. A definite go back to.

“Great experience but pricey.”

Pricey but fine. Check out process was slow. Otherwise great. Breakfasts were the highlight. Proximity to airport an advantage.

“A perfect way to start our holiday”

We arrived shortly after the kitchen closed and were able to get a decent meal through room service. The hotel is beautiful as are the grounds. The staff and service were quite good and very nice. Other reviews have commented how surprising it is to find a hotel so near the city that seems so removed, and it is true. It is very quiet and it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere yet only minutes from Edinburgh and very close to the airport. It was perfect for us with our late arrival in Scotland. We will likely stay there again.

“Beautiful Hotel, I'd Eat Elsewhere!”

The hotel itself was lovely in every way. Room was spacious and comfortable, grounds were beautiful. Part of the "Handpicked Hotels"group which is all wonderful country homes/estates that have become hotels! The restaurant and service was a different story. I was there mid week so the "fine dining"restaurant wasn't open. The bistro had a limited menu but with decent variety. I saw nothing on the menu I thought would be "kid friendly" at all. We ordered a malt whisky, it took 10 min for the waitress to come back and tell us they were out of one of them. My husband ordered a different one and 15 min passed with still no drink. It didn't get any better after we finally got our drinks and ordered dinner. They just didn't seem to have their act together at all. Breakfast was included- that was good over all and the service a bit better. We let them know we were in a bit of a rush to make the airport and they were accommodating!
