Nice hotel, close to tram, hard to find by car.

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Clean, quite, modern.
Staff was accommodating my early arrival (red eye flight) and kept my luggage safe until later when I could check in. Very comfortable and clean. Good meals available if required. Shopping mall near by. Buy the day pass on the tram to get within walking distance to Edinburgh castle and the royal mile.

Short break

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Hotel is perfect for breaks in Edinburgh and has its own restaurant and leisure facilities which are nice. My only problem was that it wasn't sign posted and my Sat nav could only find one way to it which made it tricky to get to. Other than that we had a fantastic stay.

Uncomfortable and ugly

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: The Krispy Kreme across the parking lot
Cons: Everything - from the beds to the baths
This room seems to be made from a retirement or rehab facility which was moderately remodeld to be a hotel room. The bathroom was obviously for handicapped people with red emergency pulls everywhere. The shower had no edge to it, so we flooded the bathroom floor because the water had no way to stay in the shower area. The bed was like a camp bed - narrower than a single. It creaked and sagged. I think I might have chosen to sleep in my car if it had had an outlet to recharge my phone without wearing down the battery.

Airport Access

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: The accessibility and decor. The bed was also comfortable, and the room was larger than most.
Cons: While the breakfast buffet was well done, it was terribly overpriced at 13 pounds.
Location: Airport
I was looking for a hotel that was clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced that was near the Edinburgh Airport. Novotel succeeded in all respects. The facility is modern and tastefully decorated. The restaurant and bar were open late, which was a benefit due to our late arrival.

Not the best location and bed not comfortable

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Cons: new mattress
Very noisy as close to train station, and also was located next to staff exit who made a lot of noise when leaving in early hours of the morning. Also both mattresses on the beds were not comfortable.

Convenient for city and airport

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: The convenient access to transportation and the comfortable room.
Cons: Would have liked the possibility of subtitles on tv (that was available at other hotels in Scotland).
Location: There is a shopping center near the hotel, but otherwise one would mostly go to the city.
Comfortable hotel with good parking and easy transportation with new tram both to airport and city center. Staff was very friendly and rooms comfortable and clean with free wifi.
