This place is incredible! From the greeting of the wonderful host Rowena (incredibly kind and wonderful person!), to the cleanliness of the entire guesthouse, beautifully decorated spacious room and a bathroom filled with excellent quality soaps and essentials! The breakfast served is fabulous! Absolutely fabulous!!!! Delicious and a big variety to choose from. We would come back and we will refer this place to our friends and families! What a lovely stay!!!

Feel at home while exploring ScotlandPosted Jul 10, 2013
Pros: Everything. There is not a single thing I would change. Accommodations, food, cleanliness, location, staff... everything was perfect.
Location: The Water of Leith runs nearby (a beautiful path runs alongside it from the B&B to all of the restaurants along the dock). Walk to mall & Edinburgh.
The Sheridan was beautiful and clean. Everything was high quality and Rowena was friendly, funny, and gave wonderful recommendations and directions. It is the perfect location: I could walk anywhere I wanted in Leith or I could walk into Edinburgh if I wanted. I felt safe and secure during the entirety of my stay. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and fresh! I cannot wait to go back again. I definitely recommend that you stay here! You won't find a better place!

Easy bus ride to sightsPosted May 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hosts at the Sheridan Guest House made every effort to make our stay in Edinburgh a pleasant one. The bus stop was just across the street which made travel cheap and easy. (The buses in Edinburgh were frequent and on time, too!) Breakfast at the Sheridan Guest House was excellent and the dining room was beautiful. Service was equal to a fine restaurant. If I return to Edinburgh, I will certainly want to stay here again.

Like at home!Posted Apr 18, 2013
Location: A little bit far from the centre (nice and quiet), but with a very good bus connection to get there quickly and a walking/cycling path as well!
Felt like at home! Tom and Rowena, the owners, looked after us in such truly kind way! They learnt our names, gave us advice and let us keep our bikes inside the house without prior arrangement. The house is great and is definitely the place we would love to come back to! Thank you Tom and Rowena! From Marc and Juan.

Great BnBPosted Apr 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great BnB. The host was very accommodating and friendly, even making breakfast an hour earlier because we had a tour that day. Not in city centre but there is a bus right outside which takes you straight to city centre. Clean and full of beautiful artwork to admire.

Good for access to city centre and Royal yachtPosted Mar 11, 2013
Pros: Easy Access to city and Royal yacht
Cons: Room was cold, but it was below freezing outside
Location: About 10 mins out of the city. Is right on bus route 11 with bus stops close by
We booked this B and B for a weekend trip to watch the rugby. As the hotels in town were all charging extortinate prices we went for this B and B on the outskirts, with easy public transport back into the city. It is right on the route number 11 bus which takes you into the city centre in approx 10 minutes and going the other way out to Leith where the Royal Yacht Brittania is moored. This can be reached in about 10 minutes also. Our only gripes about this B and B was that the room was cold. Admittedly it was very cold during our stay for the 2 nights in Edinburgh, but despite the room having a radiator and an extra electric radiator, we never felt warm in the room over the whole weekend. The owner, a lovely guy, did mention that he is considering getting double glazed windows fitted, so i guess we arent the first to have mentioned this. Our other gripe is the lack of a downstairs room for reading / relaxing / watching TV. So minor gripes i guess, and all in all we enjoyed our stay, but wont be visiting here again if the weather is below freezing.
