Smart and clean, close to the theatre but quiet.

Didn't use the restaurant as we booked room only and there are so many places to eat in town. On Friday night after a tour we thought to eat in the hotel but it was too busy with Christmas Dinner parties. Still they managed to provide quite a nice meal from the bar menu.

Basic, medical feel

Posted Nov 30, 2014
Such a shame but NOT a great hotel experience - ESPECIALLY for the price. We had a 'superior' room: 3 attempts & trips to Reception to get the key card to work Cheap shower curtains Awful thin towels No handsoap Noisy aircon No plug anywhere near teamaking set Would not repeat stay.

Prima!

Posted Nov 29, 2014
Pros: De bar, restaurant en service uitstekend. Ligging prima. Zeer goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.

Lovely hotel for edinburgh exploring

Posted Nov 24, 2014
We liked the hotel, very comfortable and we felt well-looked after and well-catered for. The hotel was relatively convenient for us, being only a 10-15 minute walk from waverly station. The royal mile was only about ten minutes walk away. Plenty of great pubs and eateries nearby too.

Nice hotel in a quiet area

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Nice hotel in a quiet area...paid extra to have an executive suite. Lots of room extremely clean..Bathroom was very nice...only faults I could pick was shower was poor, no mini bar in room and our room was facing a brick wall..apart from that I would stay there again. Staff were helpful. About 5 minute walk to royal mile, 15 mins to castle and princess street where shops are..overall I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

Nice location, but price too high

Posted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: Location in Old Town on quiet side street, water pressure
Cons: Larger rooms, soundproofing, maintenance of rooms, reduce the prices of the breakfast buffet, improve lighting in bathroom, and steamproof mirror
Location: It's in Old Town - so a ten minute walk to the Royal Mile and fifteen minute walk to Waverly Bus and Rail Station.
Disappointing quality for a four star hotel. Has a definite 2.5 star US hotel feel in the rooms and hallways. Water pressure and temperature were the best things about it. I didn't try the breakfast buffet because it was $20; there is a Costa up the street where I ate breakfast cheaper. The dining areas are cramped and don't look particularly comfortable and the there is not much on the menu (you can view it on their website). On a return visit I would instead to a hotel on a quiet street in New Town.
