fabulous location near airportPosted Oct 7, 2014
our last night in Scotland... everything about this place made it special. Right on the Union Canal, The Bridge Inn is unique and beautiful. The room was very modern and classy. The restaurant was just great and had a patio overlooking the canal. It was still warm enough to have lunch out on th patio. Since we had to leave early for a flight, the staff gave us a breakfast basket to eat before heading to the airport. A great place to finish a fabulous vacation.

Picturesque location, excellent servicePosted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: Atmosphere; excellent staff; wonderful food.
Cons: Wi-Fi was spotty.
We stayed at the Bridge Inn for our last night in Scotland, and it was a lovely ending. The inn has a beautiful location next to the old Union Canal, where it's been since 1822; but is only a few minutes from the airport. The staff was friendly and efficient, even remembering details about us hours later! Our room was small but well-appointed, and the bathroom was spacious and luxurious. The restaurant on the ground floor is excellent, and apparently booked solid most nights. The pub has won "Best in Scotland" more than once in recent years. Make sure you take some time to walk the canal towpath! We would definitely stay there again during another visit.

Perfect Introduction to ScotlandPosted Aug 25, 2014
We arrived in Scotland and this was our first introduction to the Scotland way of life and it was wonderful. The history of the B & B was facinating and the town was very quaint with a lovely walkway along the channel. We had really good meals and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Bridge Inn Pleasant stayPosted Aug 17, 2014
We stayed at the Bridge Inn o a Friday night prior to flying out Saturday morning early. Very helpful staff that put together a box breakfast as we were leaving very early in the morning. They brought it up the night before. They helped us by printing out our boarding passes and made us feel completely at home. The only drawback was that we were in a room at the front of the hotel "Burke" which ended up being noisy at 01:00 am and again at 02:00 am due to loud revelers leaving the pub and hanging out front. Improved sound insulation on the front windows would correct this annoyance. Otherwise a wonderful stay.

Oustanding HotelPosted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Absolutely everything, it really couldn't have been better.
The Bridge Inn is simply an outstanding hotel. It is in a lovely location next to the canal and provides great access to both Edinburgh and Glasgow, we were there for the Commonwealth Games and is was perfect. The rooms are comfortable and are absolutely spotless. The staff are friendly and will assist you in any way they can. The food is absolutely delicious, we had breakfast every morning and ate in the restaurant 2 evenings. I really cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and i will definitely be going back very soon.

A Rustic GemPosted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: Scottish history and charm - an Inn with a pub downstairs.
Location: Great place for an overnight stop for an early flight. Located on a Canal - it has a lot of history. The cabbie knew it only as a local tavern.
While the cabbie warned that the locals have been known to eat their young, must admit that this charming little Inn turned out to be a real delight. Although dated, it was clean, tidy and very comfortable. The crockery in the bathroom dated back to the Victorian era - which just added to the charm. Everything worked - including the young lad at the door that was kind enough to carry my oversized bag to the second floor.

Lovely hotel with a friendly family atmosphere.Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, lovely facilities and great food
Location: The hotel is right on the canal and there are lovely walks along the towpath. Handy to visit central Edinburgh and The Kelpies at Falkirk.
Stayed at The Bridge for a night whilst on a weekend break with my daughters. The room was clean and well equipped, with a pleasing and tasteful 'shabby chic' decor. The large bed was particularly comfortable. We had a delicious dinner in the restaurant and would highly recommend dining there, especially as they source much of their produce locally. The breakfast was equally wonderful and set us up for a busy day.
