“Chester Residence for Moonwalk”

what a fantastic place to stay! Wanted a place for my wife to relax after the 26 mile moonwalk and this was perfect. Neil, the concierge (personal butler!) greeted us on arrival and looked after us unbelievably well. We were contacted each evening to see if we wanted drinks, he managed our car parking (even offered to feed the meter and add it to the bill!) and even brought hot chocolate to the girls on the walk at 3AM!! Wonderful hotel and easily the best place I have ever stayed. could not recommend highly enough!

The best experience we have had at any location. Extremely high quality in every area. Great location. Easy to walk to main attractions. Staff was more than helpful with anything we needed. Property is kept emaculately - inside and out. We will definately return.

“Stunning apartments with no expense spared, and first class service!”

We stayed in the Penthouse apartment 8/1 on 31/03 - 02/04/2010. The apartment block is very grand and very tastefully decorated. The penthouse, was gorgeous. I chose it because of the photos of the stunning bathroom, and was not disappointed. The kitchen had top spec appliances and the quality was exellent throughout. Parking outside was on a meter, which staff are willing to take care of for you (and add the cost to your bill) or parking is provided for £25/day. Parking attendants are everywhere, and very keen - so do not chance it with a meter, not even for a few minutes. There was a flat screen TV in the livingroom, bathroom and bedroom and surround sound. There was also an i-Pod and docking station in the bedroom. My boyfriend mentioned to staff it was my birthday, and they delivered chilled champayne and a cake to the room. We were charged £5 for the cake, but nothing for the champers. There were one or two small issues with the apartment, eg bulbs out and the shower plug hole was blocked - but when we told staff they were very appologetic and quick to resolve them. They even offered an upgrade to the Grande apartment, but I turned it down as the although it was stunning and bigger than ours, the bathroom wasn't as nice. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and was made to feel very special by the staff. I highly recommend The Chester Residence and would love to return.

“Fantastic Stay!”

The Chester Residence was fantastic! From the gorgeous aroma of burning Jo Malone candles on check in to the friendly helpful staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. I was given an in depth tour of the luxurious Penthouse apartment featuring roll top bath withtv! perfect for relaxing after my busy day. Found this hotel on trip advisor and must say its no.1 for a reason!

“A Romantic Dream in Edinburgh”

Would you like a serviced apartment in a beautifully restored Georgian building with a huge sitting room with very high ceilings where you can sit before a warming fire? Would you enjoy an equally huge bedroom with a king bed and chairs where you can sit looking out through large high windows at a group of private gardens? Would you additionally enjoy having a full kitchen and two bathrooms? Would you like to have this at the same price of a good hotel room? If you would, I wish to highly recommend The Chester and our particular unit on the second floor (third level) of 9 Chester. The Chester is in the upcoming West End in a quiet neighborhood, about a five minute walk from the west side of the New Town and about a Fifteen minute walk form the castlein the Old town. You are near to the theater and to many fine restaurants. The efficient and inexpensive buses in the area will take you virtually everywhere. The Chester staff were welcoming and happy to help with any questions. In short, we love this place.

Without a doubt everything tripadvisor suggested it would be! (and it was listed as #1 in Edinburgh) Excellent staff. Lovely other guests. We are used to 5 star travel - and this lived up to our high expectations. The room was enormous with a large bathroom, kitchen, living room and bedroom. Well appointed. Fabulous views from the bedroom to Edinburgh castle. Sky HD with all the required channels. TVs in every room (including the bathroom) and a huge selection of DVDs in reception. Free cocktails on Saturday evening were a delight. I was introduced to a new (Scottish) beer. Not a hint of parsimony from the staff. The only reason for giving this a lower rating would be to 'keep it to ourselves'.

Staff was amazing and location is perfect. Close enough to walk to historic sites, however feel as if you are going home at the end of the day.
