Nice central hotel. Very comfortable.Posted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: Room & staff very good.
Cons: Lift very slow. Water pressure poor for shower and toilet ( room 551). Sound proofing not brilliant between rooms.
Location: Super location near to shops and restaurants.
Bar facilities poor due to refurbishment. The bar on the fifth floor could have been open longer...,closed at 10pm.

Disappointed - hotel under refurb.Posted Jun 25, 2015
The bar was boarded off and a replacement bar/drinks shelf available in the foyer. Albeit an roof bar was available if the lifts would ever turn up. The twin rooms were quite small. Overall I was disappointed.

nice hotel close to city center.Posted Jun 24, 2015
Breakfast overpriced, standard fare unnecessarily expensive. Frankly, for what we paid, they might consider providing all guests with free breakfast.

Enjoyed George HotelPosted Jun 15, 2015
My Air France flight from Paris was late so I missed staying in the George hotel one whole night which I had to pay for because it was already booked . In spite of Air France problem I thoroughly enjoyed staying in the George hotel where it is very centrally located in the breakfast was wonderful and the staff was so very helpful .

Very comfortable, central.Posted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: The staff were great and the room was very comfortable.
Cons: It was just right
Location: Sedate hotel in the heart of the city, lots to do and see just outside,
Booked well in advance and got stranded at Edinburgh airport in the middle of the night with a hundred others from my flight, no bus no taxis, nothing, I phoned The George and was picked up within 5 mins, very special treatment from the night staff led by Gordon and very quickly settled into a very comfortable room. Great nights sleep, great breakfast, really helpful staff, a short walk from every where. Loved our stay there.

Lovely hotel in the centrePosted Jun 6, 2015
Pros: Middle of the city close to all the amenities
Cons: Information about refurbishment prior to our booking
Location: Too many to mention, but highlight has to be the castle with fabulous views
Lovely hotel staff very friendly, disappointed in the fact that they were refurbishing the restaurant but we were not told until we got there. Also the panoramic bar was closed after the first night again we were not informed until we tried to have a drink, there was a small bar downstairs that closed at 10pm.

Edinburough mini breakPosted Jun 1, 2015
George hotel is in a great location. Popular wedding venue. Hotel was having bar and restaurant refurbished but gave out drink voucher for lobby bar and coupon to restaurants nearby. We are at The Grillhouse.on Rose street - 5 min walk. And a tapas restaurant literally round corner. Great site seeing and lovely weekend. Could have better toiletreies and bathrobes at this pricepoint. Also had to request a sewing kit.

Location: Top-Adresse in Edinburgh.
