Listed on Expedia as 4star but more like 2star

Posted Jan 21, 2014
Pros: Proximity to station and town centre, quiet location.
Needs to position itself as a B&B and make it clear in the marketing title that it is a Guest house. Very small room, generally more comparable with lower end 2star hotels than 4star as listed on the expedia website. Breakfast largely standard continental but use of tinned fruit quite disppointing, juices also not very good.

Family stay with small children.

Posted Sep 13, 2013
Pros: Staff, continental breakfast, play ground out back, space, shower, cot.
Cons: The room could have done with a thorough cleaning of the nooks and crannies in the bathroom, but otherwise clean and well taken care of.
Location: Easy access to buses, local library, Royal Commonwealth Pool, restaurants, Arthur's Seat, campus.
Cot provided with nice bedding, pull-out bed and double bed. Yummy treats, tea, hot chocolate, coffee, water provided. Very friendly staff. Continental breakfast was delicious! Play ground out back was so convenient and wonderful to have. Within walking distance to great restaurants, Arthur's Seat, kid-friendly activities and bus access. Highly recommend to families travelling with small children.

Lovely hotel close of centre

Posted Jul 30, 2013
Pros: Welcomed families - staff very friendly, room large, clean and comfortable
Cons: Leak from roof on our corridor, paint on ceiling in corridor was coming away due to leak, but our room was not affected and was well decorated.
Location: Excellent short walk into city centre.
Staff very welcoming, room was very clean and very quiet - no noise heard from other rooms, which was good as hotel was full.
