Does what it says on the tin really. Decent value rooms that are decorated to a satisfactory quality and clean. Having beakfast would have been a rip off at £7 continental and £11 full English, but for a place to lay your head at the end of the day it's all you need and pretty good value for money.

Note that the hotel charges a fee for credit cards. Helpful staff, OK building, good location - city centre is 5min by cab (£8), 30min walking. Bus should be £1.50 and c. 10min, but didn't try. The room was bright, felt a bit run down, but was well cleaned. My towels were changed every day, although opted for the "green" option of keeping them. Good breakfast, but apparently full menu is optional - make sure you have the "full breakfast" option, when booking. A few restaurants and pubs are within easy walking distance.

Pros: Free parking at the back
Cons: Payment up front and 2% debit card charge
More a B&B than a hotel. Bed was not so comfortable and only small bar of hand soap provided (no shampoo or body wash). Breakfast was only served from 7:45 so not ideal for early risers. Payment was in full and on arrival which is a bit unusual and came with a 2% charge for debit card use. In all not great but okish.

Very good experience. Room price very reasonable and location within walking distance of city. Friendly help from reception. Breakfast area could do with more space.
