“Home away from home”

Hard to know where to begin, this hotel far exceeded our expectations, from the warm greeting at check in, to the eager assistance in making dinner reservations. Everyone was warm and friendly, maps, directions, suggestions were happily given. The breakfast was far beyond the normal Continental - warm waffles, egg sandwiches, yogurt and fruit, bagels, cereal. The hotel was comfortable, clean and secure. We would definitely choose this hotel again. They also valued their relationship with Expedia, at check in they stated, Expedia has handled everything - enjoy your stay. So refreshing.

Area recommendations

Definitelty explore the town of Edmunds. Lots of fabulous restaurants and shops.

“A good value near the Edmonds waterfront”

This hotel has been highly recommended by others, and I have little to add to those reviews. The hotel is quiet, the staff was friendly, the location is good, the price reasonable. I have two minor quibbles, one of which the hotel can't help, but the other one could be changed by the hotel. What the hotel can't help: numerous freight trains pass through Edmonds every night, honking their horns. The train tracks are only a few hundred yards from the hotel, so this could be an issue if you're a light sleeper. This would be a problem in any hotel near the Edmonds waterfront (not that there's much competition). The other issue concerns the free breakfast - why do American hotels of this level think it's OK to serve breakfast on paper plates with plastic utensils? I've experienced this before at a Holiday Inn Express. In my opinion that just seems cheap - it can't cost that much more to provide basic "real" dishes and cutlery.

“great hotel”

The service is excellent, and the rooms are nice and well appointed. It's in a beautifdul area of the country, close to the coast. The only negatives I have: traffic noise, which is dependent upon where your room is. Wireless internet is intermittent and very slow

“A great breakaway”

Nestled in the shore area of Edmonds, it is quiet and a short walk to the beach, train and shops in Edmonds. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We drove 5 hours to get home and though seriously of turning around and going back. If you are looking for peace and quiet and a restful time, this is a great hotel and area to go to.

“Not a waterfront hotel”

The hotel is not a waterfront hotel as it claims. It is 2 blocks off the waterfront, surrounded by parking lots, light industrial area, and a busy rail line. We heard the trains frequently all night long. However, the rooms are nice and comfortable and there are good restaurants within several blocks, but a little overpriced since the waterfront draw is not real.

“EDMONDS WAS WONDERFUL!”

The room was a little noisy with the trains starting at 4:30 am, but the hotel was nice overall.

Area recommendations

We had two wonderful meals in downtown Edmonds and went to their Community Theater which was also wonderful. I am looking forward to going back to Edmonds very soon.

“Pleasant and convenient--will stay there again”

Friendly and helpful desk clerk, clean and large room, comfortable bed. Excellent hot breakfast included. Only 2-3 blocks from Edmonds Amtrak station, an easy walk. Will stay there again.

“Spotless, very quiet & comfortable”

Like most very modern hotels, this one has little character or charm, but it is extremely well run, quiet, and spotlessly clean. Yes, I recommend this hotel.

Area recommendations

The entire town takes fifteen minutes to tour on foot, starting five minutes from the hotel.

“Very satisfied”

We were very satisfied with the whole package, cleanliness,comfort,and service.It is a ways from Seattle but worth the extra miles -about 13 miles(there is also public train system near by).When we read the reviews of the other hotels closer by the city we decided to go this route and I would definitely go back there again.
