Nice hotel in Downtown,Riverview room was nice

Posted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: Riverview room and breakfast in restaurant although it was not included in our booking.
Cons: Never before in any hotel I have been asked to write the name of all family members for check in into a hotel but I was asked to write all the names!!
Location: if you have to stay in downtown is quite good
was a pleasant one night stay in general. elevators were quite fast and enough.

Nice view

Posted Apr 20, 2015
I've stayed here before, but in recent months, the Lacombe has started making some upgrades. It's close to downtown (ie walking distance) and has excellent views. It's an old school hotel, but progress is definitely going the right way.

Beautiful river view. Downtown.

We had a most enjoyable stay, on the concierge floor. The room was nicely designed. Amenities were well thought out, for both bedroom & bathroom. The concierge lounge was exceptional. The choice of food & drink was very enjoyable. The view of course, was the best in Edmonton.

Disappointing

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: It was clean. Close to west Edmonton mall.
Cons: Communication. We booked for three so we should have had three towels in the room instead of having to phone for towels two or three times.
Extra costs made it not so cheap, extra cost for third person, parking costs. Always short one towel. Had to phone more than once to get it delivered to room. Noisy. People partying until 5am.

Great Staff

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Staff were great hands down. The view from my wall to wall windows was great (with a bay window feel to it since the tower is circular).
Cons: Great facility now, am looking forward to when the renos are finished.
Location: Great location. 1 block to Jasper Ave and LRT entrance. 2 blocks to City Centre Mall and 3 blocks to Churchill Square. On ridge of river valley.
Got a great deal on the hotel - which makes me nervous as to why. When I got there you could see that there were some work being done on the outside of the hotel tower (and new windows as well). From the first greeting of the staff at the door to the front desk, I knew that this was a quality place to stay. Warm, friendly welcome and a sincere desire to help and assist. The great staff went above and beyond in making my stay the best experience at a hotel in years. This will be my hotel of choice for my Edmonton stays.

downtown Edmonton

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Update the finishings in public areas of the hotel.
Location: Located downtown with abundance of shopping options.
Hotel was clean, very professional staff. The facilities are becoming dated. Outside windows will be replaced beginning in July 2015. Parking costs $15/day. You can request either a view of the city or river valley.

Very good.. Accessible to bus routes cause of its downtown location. But one thing I do not want is no free breakfast. But all in all very convenient.
