Budget-friendly downtown hotel

I was pleasantly surprised with the service at this hotel. The manager at the front desk, Richard, was very polite and professional. The front desk staff were helpful in booking taxis, storing my luggage in a locked room after check-out until I needed to go to the airport, bringing up forgotten toiletries, etc. The room was quite comfortable, although the decor was a bit old. I enjoyed my stay.

Good location downtown Edmonton.

Pros: Comfy beds, great hotel staff, good location.
Cons: Pillows that are not as stiff and large. Neck got sore no matter which way I laid down.
Location: Anything that downtown Edmonton has to offer.
Only stayed one night, but the front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. It seems like a bit of an older hotel that could use some renovations in the near future, but overall it is a decent hotel. One thing to note is that they now charge a parking fee of $10.50 (I'm not sure if this is per day or for the duration of your stay) that was not accounted for when I initially booked the room.

Arrived very late for my stay. Very efficient check in process. Staff very nice for both check in and out. Room is decent size. The only minor thing I have is the fan in the building is quite loud at night.

This hotel only takes credit card pre authorizations and payments. so even if you have already prepaid and explain your credit card number was stolen and can pay cash or debit, it's a no. The front clerk Ute, is the most rude, unprofessional person I have come across. Gave snarky remarks, facial experissions I could see, and didn't follow 'customer is always right'. The room was overall comfortable except one stop in the floor was soaking. if stepped on, soap bubbles came out. Probably will not be visiting this hotel again.

The Doors on some of the rooms are not the correct length. They hang in such a way that there is a significant space between the bottom of the door and the threshold between the hallway and the guest room. This leads to significant light and sound being able to enter the room. It makes the stay feel unsettling and gives the impression that there is a lack of security.

Convenient comfortable economical

Pros: Convenient location, cleanliness, comfortable bed.
Cons: Carpeted area around the sink had a stale mildewy odor.
Location: Not a lot to do nearby; however, within a few blocks is an excellent coffee shop and a couple of very good little bistros. Near bus and subway.
I frequently stay at this hotel when traveling on business. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. Location is central and convenient for my meetings. Front desk staff for the most part are friendly and hospitable and helpful. Noise from loud voices in the hallways is sometimes an issue as many groups appear to stay here. The elevator is small and shaky. There is also a convenient privately operated coffee shop on the premises. Overall it's a good deal for the price, basic no frills accommodation.

Extremely poor beds - worst experienced in years. Poor HVAC, very uncomfortable. Very outdated washroom.

Hotel was old and freaky! Non of the doors in the room closed properly. The elevator seemed like it was going to break. Hotel had a funny smell. Staff weren't very friendly.
