“Good Value”
Was good for the location, would stay here again.
“Lovely”
Only one thing, I called the room service number once at 2am and no one answered but I called the front desk and they took my order and had someone bring up my order within twenty minutes. Excellent service. Beautiful hotel. Gorgeous fish in the lobby. So relaxing. Wonderful people. I can't wait to return.
“A little disappointed”
We were disappointed that our requests from booking online were not taken into consideration when our room was actually assigned. We'd stayed at this hotel previously and our reoom was much more comfortable, a few more ammentities and we were away from the elevator (asw we'd requested). We were disaapointed that we had a room with a connecting door ro another guest who happened to have small children. It was a little disapponting.
“Convenient but small”
The age of the hotel shows up in the rooms, they are extremely small and aged. I will say the bathroom fixtures had been updated at one time which was a relief. The hotel restaurants and lobby look updated and the staff was very efficient and polite. The location is only 20 minutes from the airport and minutes away from a large number of restaurants. This hotel is all about location; the rooms are a tight squeeze if you are not traveling alone.
“Just good”
Kind service and calm restaurant but food is just good.
“Good Hotel”
Good hotel, with nice staff. Everything was pretty good, but the elevators are strangely small. The rooms look current, but some of the hallways still have their original 1970's decor. Not a big deal, as everything was clean and well-maintained. Good location on major north / south and east / west roads and about 10-15 minutes from the downtown core.
“Very nice, clean and comfortable”
The hotel was beautiful the staff are very friendly and the rooms were really clean and big. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept when it comes to a hotel stay. The location was great it's right next to the big outlet shopping center and costco. Only 10 minutes or so from the west edmonton mall. Many shopping centers everywhere surrounding the hotel. The location is wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning to this hotel.
“Nice business hotel”
The hotel is located at he intersection of Gateway and Whitemud, which is extremely convenient, since you can go from there to anywhere in the city or region with ease. The room was nice and clean. The only drawback is the central air conditioning. There's no AC machine in the room, but you can control the cool air influx, but it malfunctioned twice during my 5 day stay. They repaired it promptly though.
“Good Hotel in a nice area”
The pool, hot tub and one of the restaurants was closed for renovations. I had some difficulties with the elevatoor the first but that was rectified. The Hotel is situated with lots of shopping and restaraunts in the area. Service and meals in the dining room were very good. The heated garage in an Edmonton winter was a very nice touch.
“Stay away from the roads”
Was not impressed by the road contruction happening all nite every nite and obviously keeping me awake. When I did report these issues(hoping to be moved to a room not near the road) I was told that the manager would be made aware and they would adjust my bill accordingly. Well the manager did not call me back the next day although I personally left him a phone message as well. I then checked out the next day. The nite manager whom I had initially spoken with offered me an apple and piece of banana bread. Well after two nites of no sleep I certainly was not hungry. I felt that this was actually an insult. I will not stay here again although the food was good and rooms were nice and it was a convenient location.
