“Good Value”

Was good for the location, would stay here again.

Area recommendations
West Edmonton Mall, you will love it.
Getting around
I find it is always cheaper to rent a car than to get a taxi.
Comment from the hotel's management
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us online. It appears that your stay was a positive one. It is nice to see that you were able to take advantage of some of our local attractions such as the West Edmonton Mall. I would agree that it may be cheaper to rent a car than to take taxis, especially if you want to see the sights or you are here for multiple days. Edmonton does have a lot to offer and some of the attractions are quite spread out. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope to see you again soon.

“Lovely”

Only one thing, I called the room service number once at 2am and no one answered but I called the front desk and they took my order and had someone bring up my order within twenty minutes. Excellent service. Beautiful hotel. Gorgeous fish in the lobby. So relaxing. Wonderful people. I can't wait to return.

Area recommendations
Yes, beauiful city, relaxing atmostphere

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent stay. I am pleased that your experience with us was positive. I am sorry that the room service phone was not answered when you called and you had to call the front desk for room service. There is a certain time of the day that we forward the phone to the front desk and this may have been overlooked. I am glad that you were able to get a hold of someone right away and the service received was excellent. Thank you again for the feedback and we look forward to your next visit.

“A little disappointed”

We were disappointed that our requests from booking online were not taken into consideration when our room was actually assigned. We'd stayed at this hotel previously and our reoom was much more comfortable, a few more ammentities and we were away from the elevator (asw we'd requested). We were disaapointed that we had a room with a connecting door ro another guest who happened to have small children. It was a little disapponting.

Comment from the hotel's management
I would like to thank you for sharing your comments with us regarding your recent stay. I am sorry that we were not able to meet your expectations with the room type and location that you received. We try our very best to accommodate all room type requests that are made during the booking process. I am hoping that you shared your concerns with us while you were here so that we could try and make the necessary changes to improve your visit. I do hope that any future visits that you have with us are positive and we are able to exceed your expectations.

“Convenient but small”

The age of the hotel shows up in the rooms, they are extremely small and aged. I will say the bathroom fixtures had been updated at one time which was a relief. The hotel restaurants and lobby look updated and the staff was very efficient and polite. The location is only 20 minutes from the airport and minutes away from a large number of restaurants. This hotel is all about location; the rooms are a tight squeeze if you are not traveling alone.

Area recommendations
The area depends on why you are in Edmonton, we selected this area since all of our appointments were within 15 minutes of travel.

“Good Hotel”

Good hotel, with nice staff. Everything was pretty good, but the elevators are strangely small. The rooms look current, but some of the hallways still have their original 1970's decor. Not a big deal, as everything was clean and well-maintained. Good location on major north / south and east / west roads and about 10-15 minutes from the downtown core.

“Very nice, clean and comfortable”

The hotel was beautiful the staff are very friendly and the rooms were really clean and big. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept when it comes to a hotel stay. The location was great it's right next to the big outlet shopping center and costco. Only 10 minutes or so from the west edmonton mall. Many shopping centers everywhere surrounding the hotel. The location is wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning to this hotel.

Area recommendations
I like to south side of Edmonton it's very convenient and I feel safe there. You are right at the center of at least three major ring roads so you can go anywhere in the city in no time.
Getting around
Getting around is really easy and you are centered by three major ring roads in Edmonton that can take you anywhere in minutes
Shopping
a lot of shopping center close by and with the best prices in the city. In the south common they have all brand name outlet stores like quicksilver/Roxy; aeropostale; danier leather; bath and body works; the childrens place, etc. etc. also just up the road is the southgate mall which has a outlet Bench store and many great shopping stores.
Dining
Pretty much anything you like to eat is seconds away

“Nice business hotel”

The hotel is located at he intersection of Gateway and Whitemud, which is extremely convenient, since you can go from there to anywhere in the city or region with ease. The room was nice and clean. The only drawback is the central air conditioning. There's no AC machine in the room, but you can control the cool air influx, but it malfunctioned twice during my 5 day stay. They repaired it promptly though.

“Good Hotel in a nice area”

The pool, hot tub and one of the restaurants was closed for renovations. I had some difficulties with the elevatoor the first but that was rectified. The Hotel is situated with lots of shopping and restaraunts in the area. Service and meals in the dining room were very good. The heated garage in an Edmonton winter was a very nice touch.

“Stay away from the roads”

Was not impressed by the road contruction happening all nite every nite and obviously keeping me awake. When I did report these issues(hoping to be moved to a room not near the road) I was told that the manager would be made aware and they would adjust my bill accordingly. Well the manager did not call me back the next day although I personally left him a phone message as well. I then checked out the next day. The nite manager whom I had initially spoken with offered me an apple and piece of banana bread. Well after two nites of no sleep I certainly was not hungry. I felt that this was actually an insult. I will not stay here again although the food was good and rooms were nice and it was a convenient location.
