Excellent Hotel

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Hotel staff are friendly and accommodating. Everything was very clean and modern. Breakfast buffet was fantastic, so many great choices that you normally wouldn't see. Love that there is a Starbuck's in the hotel for a pick me up. I had left something behind and house keeping got back to me within the time they said they would (24 hours) and are shipping my item back to me. Easy! We didn't get a change to use the workout room but it was fantastic that it is open 24 hours and the pool and hot tub are also open late. Definitely recommend.

Nice hotel, seemed newly renovated. Good location

Staff was very accommodating bringing extra blankets to our room. Restaurant right in the lobby was a bonus when you have hungry kids first thing in the morning.

Renovations didn't upgrade everything.

Posted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: Aurora restaurant has a very nice a la carte breakfast menu. The omellette was very filling. Cleaning staff were pleasant.
Cons: Towel rail, extractor fan in the bathroom. Lengthen black out curtains to the floor. Pillows too high, need some lower ones.
Location: Watch the trains going by the hotel frequently, but once we were asleep we didn't hear them.
The Delta South double queen room was good. However, the black out curtains didn't go to the floor, so there was still light coming in at the bottom of the curtain. Also light coming in under the front door. Bathroom was nicely upgraded but the towel rail had been replaced with a picture, so where would one hang the bath towel when staying more than one night? There was an extractor vent in the bathroom, but couldn't find the switch. And then the toilet got blocked....

good hotel for Edmonton trips on business

Posted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: Good location and clean rooms
Cons: The hotel is slowly updated itself but still a little dated in the lobby etc
I have been here multiple times on business and it"s a little expensive for what you get

Fairly basic city hotel

Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: Late check out
Cons: Windows in the room whistled with changes in air pressure, like they weren't sealed
Location: Shopping and more shopping, not much else to do in the middle of winter in Edmonton
Restaurant staff was very slow, service was very poor, we would suggest you go somewhere else to eat, lots of other good restaurants nearby. Reception was good, had stayed there once a few years ago, so they gave us a small gift voucher for the restaurant as a token of appreciation. Nice gesture, would have been more enjoyable had the restaurant experience been better. There are better hotels in that area, at better prices.

Great Service

Posted Feb 24, 2014
Staff was very attentive. When they found out I was there for a funeral they sent a fruit basket and signed card to the room. I wouldn't use Expedia again howver becasue I missed out on bereavement rates by not booking directly through the hotel.

Just a room

Posted Feb 22, 2014
Husband had romantic plans but our room was below the top floor event and adjoined to another room with young kids. Heater made clicking gurgling sounds when it kicked in. I liked the art on wall and colour tones and the view of south Edmonton was better than a parking lot but honestly it was just a room and I'd have rather stayed home. For the money, I prefer our regular chain that caters to families with pools and complimentary breakfast.

I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and am glad that you like our new renovated guestrooms that are contemporary and provide the well thought of design and comfort. I apologize for the heater noise and have asked our maintenance team to address it promptly.

Nice central hotel.

Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Central, nice decor, pleasant staff.
Cons: For some reason, housekeeping didn't replace either our toilet paper or Kleenex so we ran out of both on our last night!
Location: Easy driving to both West Ed Mall and South Edmonton Common.
We were pleased with everything about the Delta. We stayed 3 nights on a long weekend and it was still quiet and peaceful.
