Decent hotel at a reasonable price!

I choose this hotel because we were hauling a U-Haul trailer. The hotels in the West Ed mall area are notoriously short on space. This hotel has a nice big parking lot! It is an older hotel but the rooms are renovated and clean. Check-in and out was fast and efficient. I have stayed there a couple of times and the experience was similiar each time. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good location

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: The shower head makes crazy noises!
Location: West Edmonton Mall, many restaurants, stores, etc.
I usually stay at this hotel when I go to Edmonton. Good location, just off Stony Plain Rd, just up the street from West Edmonton mall, easy to get to other parts of town from here. The rooms have been re-decorated, and are fairly contemporary. Good restaurant and pub in the hotel. The gym/fitness facilities are not very good if you are serious about exercise, but if that's the case, Gold's Gym is in West Ed Mall. When you book your room and check in, ask for a room NOT NEXT TO THEELEVATOR. I had a room right next to it once, and was kept awake all night by it. Good hotel overall. Good staff. We will definitely stay there again.

Old hotel needs work.

The fan in the room had a high whistle that needs work. The sheets and pillow cases were so rough and smelled so badly of bleach that I couldn't sleep.

Pros: The fact it had a restaurant and I did not have to leave the hotel to grab a bite to eat.
Cons: Check out time could be a bit later.
Location: Very good location.
I enjoyed my stay, and the restaurant opens early enough to have breakfast. Food was very good and quick.

Good enough for a one night stay

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Location: It's right near West Edmonton Mall, so you've got plenty to do. It was pretty easy getting in and out of the city from there as well.
Check in and check out were painless, although they required a $100 hold on my credit card in case of incidents. The room smelled a bit like smoke, but it was allegedly a non-smoking room. There wasn't enough light in the main room for me, but that's a personal preference. Everything looked clean, and the bed was comfortable. There is a hotel restaurant and a lot of places to eat within walking distance.
