Nice hotel in the WEM.Posted Jan 17, 2015
Very nice room, spacious, clean but air very dry. Beds very comfortable. Bath clean and roomy. TV channels few unless you pay extra. Has on site restaurant and lounge, both ok nothing outstanding. If checking out early best to notify desk to have your bill ready early.

Always fun at FantasylandPosted Jan 15, 2015
We stay here often , approx 6 times a year and the beds a super comfy and clean , the theme rooms seem to need a bit of updating but the regular rooms are great . I wish the staff would be more aware of noise after 11 ...we've had a few crappy nights only thanks to younger guests laughing and partying but we will come back to this hotel .

Clean and comfortable with Nice Amenities.Posted Jan 13, 2015
Pros: I liked to oversized tub in our room. that was great. And the full sized bar Fridge was a plus.
Cons: I was very shocked that there was no bathroom fan. I think this is a must and needs to be added.
Room was nice and clean. Was glad that it had the amenities it did.

Nice it was attached to WEMPosted Jan 12, 2015
Pros: Clean and convenient
Cons: The insulation between the walls could be better
Location: Water park, amusement park and Jubilations.
It was nice that it was attached to the mall, but I could hear the people in the next room like they were sitting right beside me and waited for a free elevator for 20 minutes on average.

Just OK...Underwhelming at bestPosted Jan 1, 2015
Pros: Room size and convenience of being in WEM;
Cons: Parking Smoke filled lobby More comfortable beds Mall needs more family breakfast restaurants Only 2 of 4 elevators working @ checkout time
Location: Other than being located in WEM....there's better options.
For the price you pay to stay here.....I was very disappointed with the overall quality of hotel. Family of 3 stayed hear for 3 nights b/t Christmas and New Years 2014. PRO: Room was clean and cleaning staff were friendly...we stayed on Rome floor in a 2 bed suite. Convenience of Hotel being in WEM CON: The lobby was consistently filled with 2nd hand smoke from the smokers standing outside the hotel. There was more than enough No Smoking signs outside but nothing enforced...Deal breaker for future stays. Traffic congestion at check-in time & Parking during Boxing week was next to impossible...unless you valet. This hotel needs a serious upgrade for the price you pay! For some reason on all 3 days we stayed trying to get an elevator around checkout time (10:30am-11:30am) was over a 15-20 minute wait....only 2 of 4 were in service!?! Mall requires more family restaurants that are open for breakfast... At checkout the clerk couldn't have been more dis-interested....that sums it up for me.

A classic that never disappointsPosted Dec 28, 2014
Pros: Location, condition, staff, business centre
Cons: It's all good
Location: Mall is always nice in the winter
Love being in the mall. You pay a bit of a premium but for a short stay it's worth it.

It is what it isPosted Dec 25, 2014
Pros: The convenience of being directly attached to the mall.
Cons: Acoustical privacy in guest rooms!
Location: West Edmonton Mall. That's it.
Fantasyland is a fairly generic hotel with some theme rooms. The only real reason to stay there is that it is directly attached to West Edmonton Mall. With kids who want to go to the water park in the mall, that's a great convenience--and the hotel has discounted passes for guests. Other than that, there's nothing special about the place at all--nothing makes it stand out one way or another, good or bad, except for one (bad) thing: I have never stayed in a half-decent hotel with such poor acoustical privacy! This MAY be due to the fact that we were in a room which could be adjoined to the one next door (we were only using one room, so we didn't request any such sort of room). In any case, we could truly hear the people in the room next door as if they were in the same room. Literally every word they spoke. I didn't complain, but was very tempted to do so. Bottom line--if you want the convenience of being attached to the mall, go for it and stay at Fantasyland. If being directly attached to the mall isn't that important to you, there are much better (and cheaper!) options only a couple of blocks away.
