“Excellent Downtown Edmonton Hotel!”
Went to Edmonton for a shopping trip with friends and needed a hotel that wasn't too expensive. This Holiday Inn did the trick!
Rooms - Beds were extremely comfortable and room was tidy and well-kept during our stay. The room itself was big and we had plenty of room for our bags, clothing, etc. Room contained a fridge (which was a little noisy but nothing that interrupted our sleep), TV, coffee maker, etc. Walls are a little thin and we could hear noises in the hall but nothing that interrupted our sleep in any way.
Pool - Used the pool in the evenings. Both times we went, it was just as a group of very noisy and messy children were leaving. Provided towels were used up and thrown everywhere, emergency aids were taken off the wall and used as pool toys, etc. The second night, staff came and restocked towels. Besides that, the pool area was well maintained.
Breakfast - The included breakfast was delicious! Cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, toast, coffee/tea, juices, fruit salad, eggs, bacon/sausage. Very good and an enjoyable part of our mornings.
Security - Stairwell and elevator could only be activated with a room key card, which left us feeling very safe and secure. Our car was parked in the lot beside our hotel each night (for a fee) and we had no problems. Downtown location felt very safe and secure.
I would definitely stay at this hotel the next time I'm in Edmonton. Worth every penny!!
