Lodgings in Sherwood Park Alberta

Posted Jun 27, 2014
First of all, the toilet was running on all day and all night every day and night. Because it was running on, the water level in the bowl was very high, so it also didn't flush properly. Since I was by myself I didn't complain, but my wife were with me I would have had to ask for another room. (low flow shower head to save money, but they let the toilet continually run on and waste money) Secondly, my luggage had a long trip from Ontario and my clothes we're wrinkled. The iron in my room did not work, so I asked for another one. They gave me another one from the room across the hall and it didn't work either. So I gave up and wore wrinkled shirts. Next, the continental breakfast, not great, but good enough, except they need to lose the little paper saucer plates. You can only fit one thing on them, so I used three small plates instead of one normal sized plate...one for my toast, one for my waffle and one for my hard boiled egg. Listen up people, we're not eating any less because of a small plate. Lastly, when I arrived back at the hotel Tuesday evening a sign was posted on the hall door saying that there would only be very limited hot water and it wouldn't be fixed until Thursday. Real nice!

Welcoming and caring

Posted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: The welcoming staff and their attitude of accommodating my needs.
Location: Convenient to Edmonton east of 50th Street and North of 82nd Ave. Close to shopping in Sherwood Park.
We arrived late evening. The front desk staff was welcoming and made checking in easy and entertaining even - how to deal with the snacks machine. A comfortable room away from the traffic noise on Broadmoor as we were planning to stay 3 nights. My wife became ill necessitating early check out. The staff took this in their stride. Because we had booked through Expedia I had to negotiate early check out with them to get a refund. I left clothing in our room but was able to retrieve it easily with a call to them.

Hotel was in a good location for our scheduled events over the weekend. Room was OK but it is soon time for some maintenance/repairs to the bathroom and shower area.

We were given the key to an occupied room, luckily the occupants were not in at the time. The lobby of the Hotel had a pile of boxes and other clutter.
