“I'd definitely stay there again.”

Super location. All the activities/venues we wanted to take in were within walking distance from the Varscona. Complimentary continental breakfast was quite adequate. After the day's activities coming back to the hotel and relaxing with complimentary wine and cheese in the hospitality suite was most enjoyable. Appreciated the valet service very much and the vehicle was ready for us every time we requested it. Room decor is rather dated but who really cares when your eyes are closed.

“good choice for Edmonton”

The best thing about the Varscona is that it is located on Whyte Street, which has everything a visitor would want and operates much of the night. That's important when it doesn't get dark until after 11. Nicely appointed hotel, getting a bit run down but nothing bad. Good sized room. Continental breakfast included was ok but spartan. No worries, the coffee place off the lobby made up for it. Friendly help. A mile walk to the university and to downtown, which is fine in the summer but probably not in winter. Free wifi was tempermental but generally worked. All in all, a very pleasant experience and I wouldn't hesitate booking there again.

“Edmonton's Best”

Very enjoyable close and convenient to many places on Whyte Ave. An overall very fine place to stay will be especially fun in the summer when walking and sitting on Whyte would be very enjoyable.

Whyte Ave. A lot of very interesting shops, restaurants, pubs, and great music. Very easy to get to and from.

O'Byrnes Irish Pub and Blues On Whyte two of my favorite places to go.

“Good old Varscona”

Hotel personnel were very kind and nice.My room was very clean. The location of the hotel is very centeral too. But building in general was a little out dated and old. I think the gym and the hopitality room used to be one of the guest rooms that they converted. Bu I enjoy my stay over all.

“Excellent Hotel”

The room was clean and well-serviced. There's a very nice coffee shop in the lobby of the hotel and an excellent restaurant as well. The staff were polite and very capable. For my needs, the location of the hotel was perfect. I would definitley stay at this hotel again.
