Alcohol stolen from our room

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Unfortunately we had half our alcohol stolen from our room. Management didn't do anything about this which was disappointing. No free wi fi area which was advertised. And due to phones been out of order, no room service which made it a bit hard if you had to stay in your room due to kids sleeping. Great stay other than that. Enjoyed our time

Rundown and poor communication and poor systems

Posted Jul 3, 2015
Pros: Aspects of the layout, rooms, view
Cons: Much, see above. Needs some systems and proper activities range for guests
Location: Good location
Very very disappointed. Paid 2x other places for the worst hotel. No activities notified. Inaccurate and salty and/or cold food in Wild Ginger and expensive. Staff nice and promised things but no follow through. No proper boardgames not even a pack of cards! Bathroom mouldy and not cleaned properly. Extremely disappointed and I will not return.

Lagoon View Room

Posted Jun 18, 2015
Pros: The gardens were beautiful
Cons: Linen, towels, etc. Pool heater was not working. The information from the tour desk could be more forthcoming.
Location: Diana Tan is walking distance from resort.
Very tired with not even a comfortable chair to sit in. Expect better quality bedding from a 4.5 star resort.

Our stay was interrupted by Cyclone Pam

Posted Mar 26, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed at Le Lagon for a wedding and were caught up in Cyclone Pam, the wedding was cancelled and my husband and myself as well as another 200 people were stationed in the Convention Centre. At all times the staff and management treated us with respect and looked after our needs. The resort was devastated and we hope that they can rebuild and move on as a top tourist destination. Perhaps it would be a good time if finances permitted to replace pillows and beds as the comfortability was not good. Fantastic pool area, wonderful beach and restaurants provided great food.

Storm Port Le Lagon Resort

Posted Mar 18, 2015 on Hotels
Since this was an emergency stay during cyclone pam , all I can say is that hotel staff did there best to ensure our safety. We were cared for after the cyclone had passed over, by some very brave, cheerful staff. The Ni-Vanuatu people were amazing, coming into work, some with homes in ruins, relatives in other Islands , whose fate was unknown. We were shielded from the worst sights of the destruction. Management worked very hard to ensure power was returned asap, adequate food provided and people were kept up to date with flights out.

Relaxing family destination

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: The staff are wonderful (Chief Phillip is such a great guy), and the pool is fantastic.
Cons: The rooms need refreshing. The food/beverage prices are not on par with other venues nearby.
Location: Nothing is very far away; head to the Summit Gardens, the Blue Lagoon, Hideaway Island, and the local markets.
The staff are friendly, the grounds quite beautiful and the pool (and pool bar) is fantastic. We certainly enjoyed relaxing in/around the pool! However, the room was dated and the King size bed as described when booked was definitely only a queen and not very comfortable. The air-conditioning was incredibly noisy, and the walls were paper thin too. The main drawback with this resort is the prices of the meals/drinks - terribly expensive and much cheaper options can be found elsewhere. Overall though, we had a great time and are planning on returning to Vanuatu (although probably not to this hotel).

Beautiful resort, will return

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: The pools
Cons: hot water should be available in breakfast area for tea so we dont have to ask the staff repeatedly flies - plz take action in lagoon terrace buffet
Location: lots to do at very reasonable prices, reef explorer excursion, helicopter ride, beach trips to nearby islands, under water scooter, snorkelling
reception staff were lovely on the night we arrived unexpected welcome drink on arrival was a nice touch pools are the best feature buffet at terrace lagoon restaurnt is OK, but flies are very off-putting. Didn’t get hot food menu first 2 days as if they didnt want to advertise it staff generally are very friendly with the exceptions. one in particular ignored us at brkfast evry morning and on one day we had to ask 4 times before she brough the hot water out for tea. Make it available for self service plz however, one staff went above and beyond. we off-handedly asked for coconut in the morning (for fresh coconut water) and didn't leave details. 2 hours later she found us and brought us 2 coconuts ginger restaurnt is overly priced and small portions, food is just OK. they stuffed our order which was annoying but didnt compensate in any way warwick is one of the farthest from main port vila town so 1400 vatu return by taxi (the drivers are happy just to wait for you and bring you back without extra charge and regardless of how long 2700 vatu one way from airport room service has good food (obviously bit pricey), also stuffed up order once. we asked for battered fish and chips and they brought grilled fish room was comfy though a bit dated recommend to get bottled water in supermarket for 100 vatu where there same thing in room is 500 vatu reception staff was going to charge for 1 hour late check-out but the manager agreed to waive it - nice one will return 4 sure

a great experience

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: the setting/location friendly staff, children friendly
Cons: the atmosphere is laid back, staff great, don't change
Location: about 7minutes to town centre, cheap transport by bus {an experience}, 2 minutes from erakor island
the amenities were excellent, we made full use of the facilities - pool and pool bar, coffee lounge, kayaking and canoeing, great breakfast without going overboard, food service excellent, the setting in erakor lagoon is postcard perfect.
