Lovely resort. Clean, friendly, safe, comfy.Posted Jul 26, 2014
Cons: The pool water was just a bit too cool due to the cooler weather... not much can be done about it. The room service menu was too limited.
Location: Location is close to Port Vila town (5-10min taxi) and airport (20 min taxi), but far enough away to be unaware of the town and the airport.
I went here with my 6 year old. The kids eat for free and there's a free kids club from 8.30 am through to 8.30 pm with an hour break only at 4.30pm. You can drop your kid off anytime and pick up whenever. The kids area has some good stuff for play. My daughter found some of the activities on offer a bit "boring" though (t-shirt painting, necklace making, grass skirt making, cooking class). The resort feels safe, is very well maintained, and the staff seem genuinely friendly and helpful. Some aspects of the resort are luxurious. There are free watersport activities (sailing, kayaking, snorkelling, fishing) in the lagoon. The lagoon water is warm, clean, relatively shallow, and fairly placid compared to an ocean beach. It is teaming with tropical fish and beautiful starfish. The food is delicious and plentiful. The beer is delicious. The wine selection is limited but palatable. Cocktails are great. The prices for everything were pretty much the same as home (NZ or Aussie).... as a lot of stuff is imported this is probably fair enough.

Family holidayPosted Jul 24, 2014
Location: Make sure you try Snuba, it is fantastic!
Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed for 7 nights at the Le Lagon. Would definitely recommend to everyone. The staff are unbelievably friendly and attentive and the resort itself is spectacular. The food was delicious with a different selection every night. Used the water sports equipment every day! We came away feeling very spoilt and privileged.

Gorgeous HotelPosted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: The pool area.
Cons: More tea selection and smaller lunches.
Location: Didn't particularly like Vanuatu as a destination. The shopping was terrible - prices were high and majority of stuff was poor quality.
Loved this hotel. The pool area was fantastic. We wish we'd brought the kids along as the kids club looked fantastic.

Great resort great locationPosted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, large rooms, lots of activities to do
Cons: Maybe a few more adult evening activities
Location: Location was 3 km out of town, peaceful, beautiful !!!! Incredible beach walks or kayak to nearby island
Resort has many things to do and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the lovely scenery and facilities. Will definitely go back and recommend to friends and family. My husband and l are middle age and even though there were many children there is so much space that you can always find a quiet place on the beaches, large multiple pool area, gardens etc We loved the golf course and kayaking to nearby islands.

Amazing Resort!Posted Jun 23, 2014
The grounds are immaculate and the pool area is perfect with it's comfy new loungers and sun umbrellas. The staff that work there are some of the friendliest people i've met in the world, especially Inneth (one of the waitresses) who took the time to remember our names so she could say hello every morning at breakfast - love that personal touch. Unfortunately, the food and particularly the delivery times aren't the best but all the other good points outweighed this for me. Just be sure you have plenty of time and aren't starving when ordering and you're fine. Can't wait to go back and have been raving about Le Lagon to all my friends and family since returning.

Nice Location, with good hotel layout and gardensPosted Jun 22, 2014
Pros: Location near the lagoon and being close to town. The hotel and garden layout was good. The staff were welcoming and friendly.
Cons: The rooms need a bit of maintenance to finish them of to 4 star standards and make sure things are inspected and working before guest arrive.
Location: See above
I did not feel the room accommodation was 4 star quality, more 3 - 3.5 due to a number issues. The basic garden view room we stayed in had a loose power point, a toilet with louvre door and no fan, so it wasn't very private and smelly. The shower drain looked like it had been jack hammered out and a mesh plate plunked over it which didn't totally cover the hole. We upgraded to the Garden Deluxe View which was bigger had a solid toilet door with a fan. We had a problem with shower base being blocked and filling with water. We called maintenance who came afterwards and unblocked the shower drain. We also had a corner spa that we tried to use on the last day that appeared not to be connected so we couldn't use it. Despite this all rooms had aircon and fans and the beds were comfortable. I liked the resort accommodation and garden layout, and the complimentary water sports i.e. snorkelling, sailing and kayaking. The restaurant food, staff and daily activities were good. The resort is close to town, which had a number of good restaurants. I strongly recommend buying the $10 discount voucher booklet at reception which has some great deals on dinning, tours and discounts at the local retail shops. I recommend snorkelling at Hideaway Island, visiting the Blue Lagoon, Eton Beach and the local market and stalls.

Very big so would be a nightmare if full.Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: We had a nice quiet room overlooking the garden.
Cons: Better service at meal times.
Location: Pretty good location. Port Vila is small so most things are close by.
Good for families. Staff great at clearing tables but its difficult to get drinks, any kind. Coffee and tea are scarce at breakfast. Alcohol is slow to be served at other meals.
