Vacation

Pros: Price and location.
Cons: Breakfast.
Location: Multiple restaurants. I only stayed over night, so I did not check out the area.
Nice place, right off the highway, and reasonable rates. Fast food places, within walking distance.

Good hotel ... good location within Effingham THAT'S IT. YOU ASKED TOO MUCH. WONT PARTICIPATE AGAIN

everything was broken!

The buildings are old and have fallen into disrepair. Things that didnt work: most electric outlets. Bathroom light. Hair drier. TV remote. TV only got 3 local channels anyway. Ice machine didnt work. Manager would not give me a discount on the rate. Unfortunately this is one of only 2 hotels at the Effingham I-70 exit thats under $100 a night. There are nicer choices but theyre pricey.

The hotel smells like smoke despite the fact that we were in a non smoking room. Other than that it was comfortable.

Tiny, but it served it's purpose. We just needed somewhere to stop overnight as we traveled. We had a pet with us. The staff were very nice. The room was rather beat up, but it was clean. Breakfast had alot more variety than you usually see.

Overall a good experience.

Overall it was a good experience. The clerk assigned us the wrong room but corrected it. In the the end it worked out better as my wife has arthritis and has a great difficulty climbing stairs.

You get what you pay for

Stayed here because it is pet friendly and about the halfway point of a two day trip. Ice Machine didn't give ice. Hair dryer didn't hair dry. Room was clean but dated. Won't be staying here on the return trip.

Overall was a good stay. A lot of noise in the hall a couple of the nights that woke us up. Probably other uncaring patrons. Not the fault of Days Inn.
