Great location for the Nurburgring. Nice room with balcony. Pleasant surroundings. Ralf speaks excellent English and goes out of his way to be an excellent host. We will be back next year.

Quality hotel with interesting features and local charm

Posted Sep 6, 2010
I liked this hotel. It's old school in many ways, but this mostly comes across as traditional homely German charm. The restaurant and bar are spacious, my room and en-suite was perfectly comfortable, access to a buffet-style 'continental' breakfast was included (far from a given in mid-range German hotels, I've found) and there's parking at the rear of the hotel. Staff were friendly and there are even two skittles alleys for hire in a separate area next to the bar, which kids would enjoy. Internet access at a fixed rate of 6 euros for unlimited use over my two night stay was a good service and reasonable price - again, far from a given in many places. The town itself isn't very interesting but it has a number of restaurants and the position allows easy daytrips to explore places of interest like Trier, Koblenz, the Mosel Valley wine region and the Eifels forests / nature parks. If in the area I would stay here again with pleasure.
