Good location and buffet

Posted Aug 5, 2014
It is a 90s decor hotel in the public areas. The rooms are big, new and clean. The front desk people are really nice and helpfully. This is the main reason that I enjoyed the hotel. It is located in the marina so you have to walk 5 minutes to get to the beach.

Pros: Location, best breakfast, nice public rooms. But why did we have an extra bed in the suite???
Cons: Take out the extra bed. Get international newspapers.
Location: Close to Petra.
2 nights just for a visit to Petra. A nice walking area around the hotel. But no American newspaper available?????

Good hotel

Good hotel, helpful and friendly stuff. The only drawback is that the hotel doesn't have their own beach. You need to go to the nearest one (which is 2 minutes away) and pay for chairs.

poor management

Posted Feb 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
hotel staff was very unhelpful. granted that this hotel is in a resort area, there is no exception why any room should stink if cigarette smoke when the entire hotel is a non smoking zone. when asked to have my room changed, i was told there nothing available. when i spoke to the manager upon checking out, i was told to have asked if anything better than the room class i had was available. believe me, i was willing to pay a lot more even for a lower class room juts to not have to be stuck in a smoke chamber. the house keeper even acknowledged the bad smell, as she gave me a spray bottle of air freshener. (they did a lousy job cleaning up the balcony that was litterred with cigarette butts)....

Best breakfast buffet!

Posted Jan 6, 2014
Pros: Breakfast buffet!
Cons: The internet is too slow, the bathrooms could be cleaner.
The hotel was nice and the location was great too. The staff is OK, but not super friendly (I am used to American customer standard service, so most hotels in Israel are just sadly bellow that standard). The room was really nice but the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned - I called downstairs and they sent a cleaning person upstairs, but no manager or staff came with the cleaner with I thought was odd and unprofessional. What redeems my experience is the incredible breakfast buffet. I've stayed at other Israeli hotels, but nothing came close to what Hilton offers. There's so much food and it's all incredible quality and delicious. All kinds of breads, cheese, deserts, fish, pizza, spreads, eggs any styles, fruit, salads, espresso bar and so on... The breakfast is all vegetarian (except the fish) but this is typical for any Israeli hotel. The breakfast just blew my mind, it was always a great start of the day for me.

Fantastic location but rooms need updating

Posted Nov 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
We arrived at this Hotel on a Sunday and after a lot of backwards and forwards at reception and moving us to 4 rooms the reception realised we where Hilton Honours and upgraded us Thanks to A girl called Megan at reception who really sorted things out for us. Despite all the initial issues we had a amazing stay and got 5* Service and royal treatment throughout. The rooms are very tired not typical Hilton rooms but they are refurbishing some of them and will be nice when all are done. I advise anyone who visits this hotel ask for the sea view with a balcony. The pool side is very relaxing and is set a stunning location just near to all amenities of Eilat resorts and tourist market area. Highly recommend staying at this hotel and hope to return soon.

Have stayed at the Sheba before and it is still a great hotel. Took too long to get checked in but that was the only drawback.
