Great staff Location

Posted Jun 3, 2014
Pros: Staff and Pool area
Cons: Updated rooms and Appliances
Location: Beach, Promenade , water sports , Mall all within walking distance
The Hotel is a little old, but well kept. The staff is very accommodating. They let us check out at 4Pm and that gave us another day at the beach. Wish we could have spent more time there

More like an extended stay

Posted May 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was at a discount from the rest of the Eilat hotels. Probably because there was no service, bellhops, room service, valet, etc. our room had a fridge, stove top, and cook ware. It was designed for families who want to come and keep the price of their weekend low. It was a bit dated but it served our purpose. It was close to the beach and was fine for our short stay in Eilat after returning from a Petra tour. It has a mini grocery store in it which was a plus. We bought milk and cereal for breakfast. Sadly, the pool closed at 6pm so we didn't get to enjoy it.

Anywhere but here

Room smelled like an ashtray. The staff was inattentive. It's like once you paid for the room, they were trying to force you to check out. They stated they had a service guarantee, but the staff certainly wasn't informed about it. This is not the Isrotel I know.

More Minus than Plus

Posted Sep 24, 2009 on Hotels.com
minus - very noisey minus - internet didnt work & if it did it would have been very expensive minus - shows signs of age and hard use minus - few guest facing staff minus - parking limited. We were lucky to get one of last spots minus - plain hallways minus - no breakfast option minus - not enough spare outlets in room plus - nice pool plus - nice balcony plus - small kitchen in studio

decent hotel...needs some room improvements

Posted Apr 5, 2009 on Hotels.com
The exterior of this hotel is first rate. The interior of the room leaves much to be desired for even a two star hotel. The beds are old and awful. The bathrooms were in need of care and repair. Other than that it was a nice stay. The hotel staff is not well-informed or knowlegeable about tours in Eilat.

So-so, probably better for the price?

The hotel was adequate. I didn't check into their activity schedule - maybe it's a good place for vacationing families. The self-catering kitchen could be a big plus then, and there was evidence of a cinema for kids, and other activities. The pool was only open during the day, sort of 9-5. The towel policies were silly. Quite a large suite - queen size bed or so in the bedroom, large fold out sofa in the living room, small kitchen with table. Thermostat didn't work very well. Some sand and dirt in the room - seemed not very thoroughly cleaned. No wireless internet in room, and very expensive in the lobby. Location's good: a couple of blocks to the North Beach, close to shopping, etc. Staff was fairly helpful with a few inquiries. For a single traveler on business, with a bit of leisure thrown in, it was merely so-so. Felt like I paid too much for it. If you get a particularly good deal there's no reason to stay away.
