This hotel was just OK. Some strange things...for example, the bathroom had a shower and toilet, but no sink. The sink was right beside the bed. The hotel room was extremely noisy from next door and also outside. But the beds were EXTREMELY comfortable...so with a set of ear plugs in, I slept like baby.

We booked the Majestic Hotel for our 50th wedding Aniversary and had 4 great days in Barcelona,we covered as much of Barcelona as time would permit. The restaurants down near the beach have the greatest variety of fish ( the road is about a mile long full of restaurants). The market ST Caterina is worth a visit all the produce is well laid out and the staff are all very smart, all the fish in the market restaurants are half the price of the normal restaurants, and you know they are fresh.

The Eixample suburb was created 1860–1920 and consequently holds the city’s finest Modernist buildings. The Passeig de Gràcia is the main artery, its wide pavements lined with designer shops and chic cafes. It is also home to Gaudí’s two fairy-tale masterpieces, Casa Batlló and La Pedrera, plus many other architectural gems. The undoubted star of the Eixample is La Sagrada Familia, Gaudí’s fabulous unfinished emblematic church.
