The hotel was worse than what the pictures depicted. The location was a little suspect. It looked unsafe.

A great place to stay
Posted Jan 21, 2013
Pleasantly surprised. Left from the Fresno area to go to San Felipe with my Canadian friend. She is picky but I was on a budget. It was $44 for the room including tax. The room was big and along with large storage. My Canadian friend couldn’t believe on how nice the room was for the price and she felt save and we walked to the surounding establishments. Don’t expect a 5 star hotel but I will stay there again on my way to San Felipe. Also there was a Mexican restaurant on the same street that had $5 pitchers of beer with chips and salsa during happy Hour. On the other block was a steak house and across from that an ultra new sports bar/restaurant. El Centro was a cool place. Retired and on tour. The Moe Man

The person that checked me in was very friendly and welcoming. Cracks in ceiling were a concern.

Worst place we've stayed
Posted Jan 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was by far the worst place my wife and I have ever stayed at. If it wasn't the noise from the surrounding rooms and their loud TV's though the paper thin walls, it was the zooming sounds of cars passing by through the busy intersection. Also it seemed that everyone's car alarms were set to go of every couple minutes. The room itself provided what we needed which was a bed for the night, but judging by the appearance of the door (which had a look like it had been kicked in before) we felt unsafe. Unfortunately there was no other room availability where we usually stay (hotel chain), we HAD to stay with @ tho place. Front deal customer service was good, but this place needs a serious improvement ASAP.

They've got a bed

You get what you pay for, and sometimes you get a little less. I got in late and was greeted by a gentleman who apparently was eating in the back room, which, in and of itself is fine. What's not fine is when he cleans his teeth with his fingernail while checking your reservation and then asks for your card. Gross. He was kind enough to put me up in a double bed room because the king that I was supposed to get got a bad review from the last guest. If the room I got was a step up, I'm afraid what the other room must have looked like. The room was clean but the outlets looked and felt ancient and anyone that knows anything about electrical knows that bad outlets is a fire hazard. Even the plates over light switches were broken. Not like cracked, but broken in half, with half of a double switch cover missing, exposing the electrical box inside for one of the two switches. The desk chair felt like it was going to break underneath me (I only way a buck seventy) and the furnishings in general were in dire need of replacement. There was also the pungent aroma of incense or some kind of spray that was strong enough to bring on a headache until I aired out the room. The parking lot was filled with semis and I didn't see any guard on duty. I ended up having to park my car behind a long line of large trucks, well out of eyesight of anyone and making it a prime target for a break-in. I'm happy to say that it didn't get broken into. On the plus side, I didn't see any bugs.
