With wife and two kids

First time at this hotel and as a chef the food in the evening was excellent. The hotel looked after us and the location is first class. We had a sea view and the island is amazing.

Lovely hotel, beautiful location

Posted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: The location overall, the beach, the pool, the breakfasts and dinners.
Cons: The elevator, communication with English speaking guests
Location: the towns of Capoliveri and Porto Azurro had wonderful restaurants and shopping
We had a very lovely stay here. The beach is gorgeous, though the elevator was out, and it was a long climb back to the hotel. A car service was provided, however, for those who needed it. The food was excellent. The staff was fine, but not used to guests from the US and there were occasional communication difficulties.

A wonderful all round experience

Posted Aug 16, 2013
Pros: The views across the bay, the main swimming pool, the cocktails.
Cons: The free wifi had to be renewed after every few hours of use.
Location: Beautifully situated up on the cliffside across the bay from the lovely Porto Azzuro and quite near the beautiful and colourful town of Capoliveri.
A wonderful holiday experience - fantastic pools, great beach swimming area, comfortable beds, helpful staff, stunning views, excellent food and well-designed common areas. You definitely need a car to get around this part of the island, but there is parking available at the hotel.

The staff went out of their way to be friendly. The view from the top of the cliffs was gorgeous and the two salt-water pools were relaxing. The breakfast buffet was also very good with many options. It is a bit outside of town, which I preferred, but when visiting having a car is probably best.
