“pink sands”

The hotel is situated right on the beach in Harbour island - with magnificent views and easy access to the sea, the hotel is very pleasant with very comfortable beds and rooms and we would happily go again. It could do with a kettle and then you can make tea coffee for yourself dinner in the restaurant good - same standard as any of the other restaurants we visited on the island, the same for lunch in the beach side restaurant also excellent , continental breakfast is a bit to heavy - could do with a mix of cereal and yoghurt I am sure the cost would not be to different

“Perfect for beach lovers”

Coral Sands' beachfront location makes it very convenient to hang out on Pink Sand Beach. Service is commendable, and staff are always courteuous and non-intrusive. The hotel's restaurant offers fresh and very tasty food for lunch and dinner. Be sure to try the lobster sandwich. One complaint is that dinner portions are rather small (but very pricey), so you may want to take your big appetite somewhere else.

“Beautiful Idea that falls short on service/food”

It is difficult to sum things up using the ratings. The hotel was nothing that we were expecting, except that it had a great view. The first night room (garden view) was horrible and would never suggest to anyone to book. We upgraded (with a fee) to an ocean-front room that was amazing. it was over-priced for what it was though. The food was average and in comparison to other places on the island, very average...however it was way over priced for what it was. Average dinners were easily $150 and lunches $80. We're foodies and that is usually what we spend on typical meals but with quality food and attention to detail. The seclusion of the island came with a cost of lack of fresh veggies and other things you'd expect from a mainland. (Why is every fish offered fried on the island?!?) Everything had a 15% gratuity included, but anytime you asked someone, they would say no and that the gratuity is shared among the resort and not the service at hand. I think this thought backfires, since no one has a real drive to offer superior (or even good) service. This appears to be consistent with other places on the island, but not our experience in other carribbean islands. The lobby and island feel coupled with the endless miles of pink sands is clearly the draw to the island and this hotel. We probably will not be coming back. Not because this hoteal was worse than any others, but because it has the potential to be so much more and just falls short.

“Great beach, great breakfast, bad bathrooms”

The good: the beach was absolutely perfect; breakfast was wonderful every day; the staff members were generally helpful and friendly; the grounds were very attractive The bad: the bathroom was very small and the drains barely worked; when it rained the corridor outside the room flooded (outside door was broken and could not be closed); outlet was pulled away from wall which allowed cockroaches into the room (they did fix this promptly when we asked)

“Great Beach, Sub-par service”

My wife and I just returned from the Coral Sands and loved the island, but the service at the hotel and around the island was "adequate" at best. Because gratuity was already included, many of the servers and front desk people acted as if we were bothering them. It felt like they weren't as friendly. We also thought it was a bit pricey compared to other places we have been. Although the beaches were beautiful, I don't think we will be returning anytime soon.

“Bathroom needs updating and cleaning”

The staff was great ! But the hotel is outdated - the bathroom was dirty and the towels were stained and very rough ! The beach is GORGEOUS !! The beach and restaurant made up for the hotel condition.
