“Room was comfortable, but....”

I was on a motorcycle trip to that area, so I did not arrange for or expect luxury accommodations. However, I did ask for a non-smoking room because I am allergic to cigarette smoke. Unfortunately, they have both smoking and non-smoking rooms on the same floor (second floor) and the hallway to my room had the stench of cigarette smoke throughout my stay. Walking down that hallway to my room was not a pleasant experience. On a positive note, the housekeeping staff did a great job and my room was very clean. Additionally, they have a decent complimentary continental breakfast with fresh pastries, bagels, juice, coffee, tea, etc. (but no cereal or fruit). There is a good restaurant across the street, but no restaurant on the property. This motel is a decent place to stay with a bargain price if a traveler is not looking for luxury.

The location was very good. The front staff was most helpful I had to get new keys made as mine good too close to a magnetic surface. There were no problems. I would be very happy to return to this hotel again.

Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Toilet is on its last legs but still works.

“No Cable, No heat, But Plenty Of Loud Music!”

I will not be frequenting this establishment again. First upon arrival we were notified by the nice lady at the front desk that the the cable was out in all the rooms, but we would be welcome to watch the television located in the lobby. I asked her when it would be fixed and she replied it was beyond her control. Once we got settled in our room I noticed it was chilly and decided to turn up the heat and found both knobs used to control the temperature were completely broken off and would not turn. So I called the front desk and explained the situation and she tried to accommodate us by giving us a room across the hall. By the way she was a very pleasant woman and one of the only nice things I could find about this hotel. Well that night after I went to bed someone down the hall began to play loud music, mind you this is at midnight and continued to do so throughout the night. I should have demanded a refund when I arrived and was told the rooms have no cable just white noise. One thing that makes no sense to me is, why did the lobby have cable but none of the guest rooms did, strange indeed. Avoid this place if at all possible. I hope it this isn't a representation of what all Super 8s are like. I realize this is not a four star resort, but I expected better accommodations than this for 73.00.
