The room was comfortable and clean. The gal who called to verify our reservations and the gal who checked us in were both welcoming and friendly. What we didnt like was in the morning we went to have a free breakfast with the vouchers they gave us and the cook was nowhere to be found. We werent sure we were in the right area or what to do, so i went to the front desk to ask. The gentleman at the front desk was nice and said the cook was in the restroom and should be out soon. We went back to wait for him and after probably a total of 15 minutes of waiting, we gave up. The gentleman at the front apologized and said he could get someone else to step in and cook something for us, but we declined as by then we were done waiting. It would have been nice to have had a free breakfast to help with our budget, but we didn't have time to wait. It was awkward waiting that long for someone who was in the bathroom to then come and cook food for us. Everything was pretty good until the morning we left and that is the reason I knocked off a star.

The add on Expedia said bar and restaurant which was why I chose that place to stay. We had a long day of travel I wanted a place to have a drink relax and have something to eat. It did not say the restaurant and bar were closed on weekends. The breakfast in the morning had little choice and was all cold I couldn’t eat it.

Check in took awhile and it said my card was declined so we used my bf card which also was declined. We then both logged into our banks to see that it did take the money out of both our banks and it was their system messing up. It was nice they allowed us to check in early though. I was using the stairs and was not able to get out because the latch wasn’t working and thankfully a guy was trying to get in at the same time, he ended up body slamming the door to get it opened. I went to the front desk and comp about it being a fire hazard and it was immediately fixed. The front desk staff along with the staff in the kitchen were amazing!! I however had a problem with house keeping. My bf and I went to leave for a few hours and housekeeping was literally in front of our door. I asked the house keeper nicely for towels to have our trash taken out and toilet paper. I thought this was reasonable since we did stay several nights and needed our stuff taken care of. She assured me she would get it done right away. However once we returned and found we had no fresh towels the dirty ones were still in a pile and the trash was still full I went down once again to talk to the front desk and they had it taken care of right away. With all that said our stay was still nice. There was a pool my daughter enjoy, breakfast simple but yummy, the restaurant was good and the rooms were cleaned when arriving. We will stay there again on one of our trips.

Our room smelled strongly of fried chicken which we discovered was from fried chicken bits inside the room heater. There were instructions on the toilet about removing a rubber band from the flusher. Overall it seems like it has recently had a superficial facelift, but cleanliness and maintenance are lacking. Would not stay here again.

It was okay. The shower heads need to be upgraded. I dont know if it's because there were a lot of families with young kids, but the breakfast was just okay, no milk for cereal, no hot water out for tea. But hot water was brought out for me immediately, the front desk clerk (young lady, blue streaks in hair) was awesome and extremely helpful.

The property has been refurbished so it has the new feeling. The rooms were spacious and bed very comfortable. The desk chair was better than most. The living room type chair was not usable. It was stiff padded and had a low back. Other wise the room was a fair value for what you got.

Love the property, clean, beautiful and friendly staff. The only problem we had was that the bed wasn’t very comfortable. I generally love memory foam mattress but the one we slept in was quite worn out. We had trouble sleeping and felt very icky the next day. We will give it another try next time because we enjoyed the property very much.

The staff I’m sure was doing the best the could do. It was obvious that the restaurant staff was not trained. Example: we ordered the fish and chips and a cheese burger. The fish was cold and burnt (it was obvious that it was cooked earlier, much earlier) and over cooked to the point that the coating was charred. The outside was warm but the inside was cold. My wife’s burger was also burnt ( not medium-well). The fry’s were also cold. When we showed our complaint the the waitress. She said sorry for the issues. She came back to our table later all smiles and said she could take 10 percent off our bill. She should have had our food replaced. Breakfast the next morning was also just as pathetic. All the staff that we encountered during our stay seemed very young. And was mor interest in flirting than serving.

They biggest complaint was that the breakfast was not auffueient. No silverware, only cold cereal, bread and greasy eggs and bacon. The coffee was out each time I went to the carafe. Paper cups were out too. Now let’s get to the room. No cups no coffee pods 2 times. Not one but two. We asked the front desk the first time and they were quickly provided. Thank you. However thr 3 rd day of our stay there was no service and we elected just to leave early in the am and skip the room coffee. That’s when there were no cups available down stairs sooo. again no morning coffee. The cleaning schedule was not revealed to us at checkin. It may have been posted but I didn’t see it. On the plus side the room as clean and the bed comfy. There was good soup at dinner time and I did appreciate that.

One of the pillows in my bedroom has not been changed any clearly smell that someone had slept on it. Someone has sweated very much, actually. The stuff was friendly and quickly gave me a replacement. This is the first time this quite often at this hotel. That definitely made me question whether I would stay there in the future, everyone is always super friendly, and that is one of the reason I love this place … :(

This was a great property to stay at while waiting for the highway to reopen. They automatically gave me an upgrade, which was a great surprise. You can see the upgrades theyve been working on. The only thing they absolutely need to do, is snow removal. Their parking lot and road out were absolutely covered and cars were slipping and sliding.
