Perfect for us.

We travel with two small mutts and this place has always worked very well for us. Front desk was great at check-in. Great dog walking space. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in the 'Burg.

Nice, clean hotel

The hotel was clean and the staff was nice. It was a great place to stay for the night we were there to attend the Dave Matthews Concert at the Gorge.

Must have been a bad day

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: The room was large, appreciate the kitchen.
Cons: Customer service skills at the front desk. Sunday was much better but Saturday the 9th was a disaster. She really needed some help.
I indicated that I would recommend this hotel even though we did not have a great experience. I think it must have been a bad day. It is the first time we have stayed there. I booked this room because we were attending a concert at the Gorge. When we arrived at 3:00 check in there was a lot of people in the lobby both seated and standing in line. There was one young woman at the desk who seemed flustered and stressed. There was no communication about what was going on until finally we were told that rooms weren't ready. It seemed like she should have called for some back up as she was over her head. We decided to leave and look around town rather than wait in the tension filled lobby. We came back at 4:00 and there were two people ahead of us but the lobby was clear. The gentleman in front of us still did not have a room and he indicated he would be late for his evening event. We did have a room but we did not realize that the couch did not fold out so we were three people with one bed. The ability to try and remedy that was also a bit of a disaster. We finally flagged down a darling housekeeper named Selena (sp?) who was very customer oriented and provided excellent service. She got us some additional bedding to make a spot on the floor for our third party. Not ideal but she made the best of the situation as opposed to the reply we got from the front desk which was sorry - no options for you.

great place to stay

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: it was nice that the pool was open 24 hours. Everything was clean and looked newer.
Cons: I honestly cannot think of anything. Our whole family was very happy with this hotel.
Location: Location was great. We were next to a nice restaurant with a bar, which we visited twice. We were also within walking distance of downtown.
friendly staff, very nice rooms, everything was clean and breakfast was great. Kids loved the pool and the hotel was within walking distance of many restaurants. This was the best nights sleep I have had in a long time. Pillow was perfect, bed was perfect.

Close to Central Washington University.

Posted May 2, 2014
Pros: Location to Central Washington University and the downtown area
Cons: Provide more staff especially if the hotel is completely booked.
Location: Lots of food places
Hotel was adequate. The front desk clerk at check in was short handed and was a bit stressed. The breakfast was ok I have had much better at other hotels. Asked that our room not be near an elevator and room assigned to us was right next to the elevator.

Very comfortable!

I stayed here for only a night but I'd have to say the staff was very helpful from the moment we checked in. I love the new breakfast lady, wish I got her name! She was so helpful and courteous! I was traveling alone with my toddler and she defiantly made my stay by helping me with breakfast!

Fun football game

Posted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: Free breakfast, wi-fi
Cons: Channel selections
Location: Central Washington University (2 miles away), Thorp Fruit Stand (10 miles away)
My mom and I spent the night, along with her high school classmates and her family to watch the CWU Wildcats football game. My mom's high school classmate's oldest granddaughter is a cheerleader for CWU and we stayed to watch her cheer. The hotel was good for the most part, with the exception of not having ESPNU for the Oregon State vs. WSU game, since Ellensburg doesn't carry the WSU football game on the radio anymore. Overall, a wonderful stay. Next time if we stay here, we will make sure to book two queen size beds in advance, so we don't lose any sleep.
