Pros: It was clean.
Cons: Take the air freshener out at the front desk. Warn people about noisy rooms, only use them as last resort, charge less for noisy rooms.
Room was very clean. Furniture was clearly worn and old. Room had an odd smell that I don't really know how to explain. The noise level was the biggest issue. We were on the end nearest the pool on the 2nd floor and could hear all the pool noise from the operation of the pool to the people playing. Also when the water in the room above us was used on it was really loud. I'm not sure if it's just an old facility but we could hear everything! One last thing, when you're at the front desk there's an overwhelming smell of air freshener. It made me want to hold my breath while I was standing there. It was just too much. Bottom line, the room was not worth $100. I will try another hotel when I go back to Ellensburg.

A decent place to stay for one nightPosted Nov 1, 2013
The overall experience is good. The only annoying thing is the heating turns on and off every 10 minutes and is very noisy.

Clean, friendly, convenient.Posted Sep 14, 2013
Pros: Clean, friendly, comfortable beds and good water pressure.
Cons: Having a little doggie welcome basket. Including a dog towel, water dish, treats and potty bags.
Location: Easy access on and off I-90. Close to the gorge, Roslyn, cave B winery, hiking, water activities and the ellensburg rodeo.
Stayed here 2 nights with my husband for a show at the gorge. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I travel with a service dog and they were more than accommodating and accepting which is not always the case though legally it should be. I typically stay at 4 and 5 star hotels when available. Everything tends to be better and of higher quality but I was pleasantly surprised with my stay and will definitely consider this as an option when traveling elsewhere. In the future this will be our go to hotel when traveling to the gorge.

Very nice!!Posted Aug 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express! The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the rooms were clean and quite comfortable. They also had a tasty hot breakfast available each morning. We were in the area for a concert and when I initially booked the room I neglected to get it for two nights until later. Even though we had to change rooms the staff moved our bags to the new room while we were out so that we didn't have to load it back into the car until check-in time the second day. We really appreciated that and felt they went the extra mile even though I was the one who had made the error. They were awesome!!

Do not like the pet policy....pet friendly is not what they are. Can not even leave pet in the room in his kennel while we went for dinner. SUCKS!!!! Not staying there again.

Would stay there again.Posted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: The staff were very accommodating.
Cons: Our sink in room 206 was VERY slow to drain.
Location: This is a perfect location for those attending concerts at the Gorge Amphitheater.
The hotel was clean, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable during our stay, and the room was better than expected. The only negative was the parking... it was a busy weekend and parking was at a premium, though we were able to find parking a short walk away.

A "Hotel"Posted Jul 28, 2013
Cons: time and service and menial inspection of room by staff
Location: it's pretty the gorge is gorgeous.
The rooms are fairly clean and the staff is friendly enough. As soon as we laid down to sleep we started to notice that the ac was making this terrible clicking noise. We called the front desk and they said there was nothing they could do about it until the next day when their maintenance guy could come out. Naturally all of that was irrelevant to us because we weren't staying there more than the one night. Suffice to say no more than five hours of sleep were to be had that night because every time the a/c would click on so would that terrible sound.
